What is the life of a mechanical engineer in India?
Well,I have answered similar question several times and repeating the same for you.The condition of mechanical engineering in India is quite encouraging. Getting a degree is like getting a passport - very easy, but getting a job is like getting a visa - which is relatively a tough task. Of late, lot of changes have happened. What is more important is that any person who is able to make the basics strong (with necessary skill) will be able to attract the offer for employment.Things go according to simple mathematics 'Supply and Demand'. There will be improvement in requirement of more mechanical engineers, especially because of the acceleration of " Make in India Concept". As we know that in Mechanical Engineering, there are four major groups/areas like:i) Manufacturing engineering,ii) Thermal engineering, iii) Design engineering,iv) Management/Industrial engineering. You decide that in which area of mechanical engineering you want to concentrate and work. You will have to learn a lot in that area. Try to be a performer (to become a performer you need to be meticulous in your task). Try to learn some latest software technologies available. Do not worry much about your 'initial' salary. Let it be any kind of job, try to put in a continuous and undauntedefforts. My sincere advice would be not to directly think of joining good established companies(because it is very difficult, many a times, to get the direct placement). With some experience in small or medium industries, things are going to be very smooth(do not worry much about your initial salary). Treat that as a 'training period", and "investment". Have faith in Almighty, and your self. Keep going and all the very best.Source of pictures: Google Images
