Apple's Systems Preferences interface is neatly designed with icons and labels. However, if I were to open this up and wanted to change how fast my cursor moved, I would not know where to go. Should I enter "Accessibility" or "Mouse"?Luckily, there's a search bar at the top right to expedite this process. This function is really efficient and pleasant to use. However, there are still three icons that light up when I search "cursor speed. It's better to offer more possible options than just one that might be a hit or miss. Also, narrowing down to three locations is not bad.First, going to the accessibility tab, I see the page to the left. Even though I still have "cursor speed" in the search bar, nothing is highlighted within the Accessibility tab. A suggestion that I would make is to bring over that "spotlight effect" into the newly selected area. This would make things clearer and speed up the process.The "Accessibility" section did not seem like the right place to change my cursor speed. Even though the icon was highlighted, I could not find the setting to change it. One drawback of the spotlight effect is that it may seem excessive or might lead into a place that's not relevant to what was wanted to be searched.Going to the "Trackpad" page, I've found what I wanted and it's called "Tracking speed". Since one of the words I looked up was "speed", it would be nice to have that word highlighted on the page or have a spotlight effect that lasts for 1 or 2 lingering seconds so that the eyes can fixate on the right area.One thing about changing the Tracking speed is that there is no apply or confirm button. Someone with shaky hands may want the tracking speed to be slow, but not too slow. Thus, sliding the bar all the way to the right might make the cursor too fast. For someone with Parkinsonian symptoms, it may be hard to revert the tracking speed to a normal one. However, the general public may be able to handle all tracking speeds and so this is not a general problem. Overall, Apple's Systems Preferences interface offers a quick way to find what you want through the search bar and by clicking around.
