Just yesterday I was in a ride and I got 3 bikers pointing with 1 finger to my motorcycle, I realized that I got something wrong in the front, Ive checked and my headlight was broken, so pointing could mean anything, if its 2 fingers its the peace among bikers sign, but if its moving up and down it could mean slow down police ahead, 1 finger down could be pot hole on the road but usually it will be to inform anyone in the back (this sign is more common with your foot and pointing to the side of where the pot is expected to be), 1 finger pointing to your own motorcycle will mean you need gas, and last but not least 1 finger up will have the standard meaning of f** yourself.

If people act like they don't see you when they did and won't say hello, does it mean they don't like you?

I got accused of this many times, I am rather short sighted and when young often refused to wear my glasses. when walking down the street unless someone actually came up to me and said hello I wouldnt know they even walked past me.

Now I have contact lenses but they are kind of intermediate so if your a distance away I still wouldnt recognise you even if you looked at me and if you waved unless it was only us in the street I would probably assume you were greeting someone else . maybe like me they are short sighted or even distracted and not even aware your there other than as a person shaped object. Just because you THINK they saw you doesnt mean they actually did or that they recognised the person shaped object as you!

If it was an honest mistake, I would treat them the same way that I would hope to be treated if I made such a mistake: give a comment of reassurance of no hard feelings if necessary, avoid eye contact, and proceed to pretend it didn't happen.
