Our grandchildren had a narrow screened in porch to play on but it was concrete. I invested in the same kind of square mats that fir together for them that I use as chef flooring in my kitchen. I figured if it was easy on my feet it would be good for them as well and weather would not affect it. It worked great! We would hose it down once a week, let it dry and then they could play again. Then they moved to their new home and have a play house on their pool deck under the overhang--so I found the squares in colors, put them together and used them for the "floor" for their house. The pool water and rain water have not caused any problems with the mats. So, putting on several coats of a good concrete paint and then installing the mats should work fine. When they get soiled, take them up, put them in your driveway and wash with detergent and scrub brush with a handle. I would not put really heavy things on it tho--like a bed--because it would have to be moved to take the mats out. As for putting down a laminate floor, not a good idea--even if you use vapor barriers and and the cushioning, you will get mildew under there if your moisture problem ever comes back--and I do not think you want that in your home. Taking up the mats is a lot simpler and less expensive than taking up a laminate floor. Hope this helps.
1. Having a cold weather dilemma?
you will probably be ok as long as you can get them both in and out of the car quickly. It's pretty irresponsible of the school district to stay open in temps like that though
2. Car alarm/ heat, weather question?
i have never heard of this happening before but it is verry possible that the heat had somthing to do with it.....weather has alot of diffrent effects on technology

4. What's the weather . . . . ?
The house is quiet, its 11.30am, sun is pouring in all the windows facing north, there are yellow tulips trying hard to open on my computer desk, you would never know it is winter, its 25 degrees Centigrade and I am wearing a cotton shirt and my favourite shorts. Squinting my way up the back yard to feed my 7 chickens I have yet again forgotten to put my sun glasses on, the wet earth in the shadow of the house feels cold on my feet, after 3 days of rain and wind, the world seems so bright today. I am in Brisbane Australia
5. How can I make up for all the trash that I throw out that ends up in landfills?
You really can not make up for it. your best bet is to use the three "R's" = reduce, recycle and reuse. Think about weather you really need something before you buy it, recycle anything you can. Better yet reuse whatever you can - for example bring your beverages in a reusable mug instead of throwing away a paper cup or fill your water bottle at home instead of buying bottled water. Other tips include composting your kitchen wastes if possible, buying paper products that are made from post consumer recycled waste and so on.

7. Advice for skin in the cold weather?
Try some lotions at your local supermarket. Otherwise, all I have to say is bundle up. Stay warm. Wear coats, hats, gloves, anything to keep the majority of your face/body covered.
8. Can you tan in this weather????
i do not think so but maybe you can get an artificial tan or something......GOOD LUCK!
9. What is the future of weather forecasting?
Undoubtedly weather forecasting will get better--both long range outlooks and short range predictions. Weather forecasting is largely simulation driven, and as we learn more about weather, we learn that there are many inputs to the models that we need to account for. Currently the models cover enough to make pretty good predictions out to one week, but as we get more computing power, we will be able to add more inputs and the predictions will improve accordingly. What is the future of weather forecasting?
