Cat That Doesnt Chew His Food?

Cats, like most carnivorous animals, do not really chew more than the necessary: their teeth are made to cut chunks of meet, not to chew. Chewing is mostly for herbivorous and omnivorous animals.

he is a puppy and at 6 weeks old he should of still been with his mom so be patient,he is teething,they start to nip at 5 weeks old,you have a ways to go, be firm and loud when you say no,ignore him also what worked me me so many times with litters of puppies is I would pick them up dangle their back legs and say very firmly no,i would ignore for a few second,also give a chew toy,I have crushed water bottles,their teeth were so little,they wo not bite through them,but as soon as you notice the bottle getting worn replace it chew toys work the best when you get kisses make a huge fuss in you normal or sweet voice enjoy these weeks,although they nip they will grow so fast Good luck

unpainted and untreated pieces of wood are best. go to Lowe's or Home Depot and ask for some small scraps. i give my rabbit cardboard boxes and empty toilet paper rolls, too.

My girlfriend has a Neapolitan mastiff and he LOVES the giant "Galileo" bones made by Nylabone... and he also has this Greenies chew toy that's non-edible, it wears down like Nylabones, but looks like a Greenie. If he can handle these, I am sure the dogue de Bordeaux can.

You can try adding alittle water to the dry food, and let it sit for a few minutes. We have to do this for the Labrador puppies/dogs in the training facility as they bolt their food down so fast it sometimes comes right back up. I know people say that the dry food it good for their teeth. ..we get around that buy brushing their teeth daily. Might be worth a try

We gave our puppy a pair of old sandals (they are pretty tough ones) and he likes to chew that. We were told that giving your puppy/dog something with your scent on it (preferably a shoe), is good thing to do. They can chew it, and for some reason, they like the fact that there your scent is on it. Makes them feel safe or something. I am not sure. My puppy likes to chew it but it's not his favorite toy. I would not let them do that quite yet. Similar to chicken bones, the wood can splinter and if swallowed will harm the puppies. Try getting your puppies DINGOs. It's rawhide with meat wrapped in it. My girlfriend's 5 month old Yorkie/Maltese loves them

He is bored. Walk or excise him until he is tired before crating him. How old is he? Is he teething?
