Chair Design From Ambiguity Effect

During the class, we designed two chairs and made the models by using the foam board. The first chair I made is a deck chair which people can lying on it. My design concept is using the minimalist approach to design the deck chair.

So I decide to use one continuous curve to form the chair shape.The second chair I designed is a reversible swing chair. Based on the ambiguity effect, people rather choose the known results rather than the unknown results, they avoid to take risk for less information objects.

So the swing chair shows the obviously function and comfortable for the users, people can experience the chair as soon as possible when they buy it. The different direction of the swing chair suitable for the different seating position. People can choose lying on it or seat on it.
