Commonly Asked Questions About Small Led

1. What made you mad on Quora today?

I mainly answer questions related to software development.

There are technologies out there that sounds like they are website addresses and it is annoying when Quora thinks that I am positing a link when all I am trying to do is write about a particular technology. One of the best examples is ASP.NET.

It stands for Active Server Pages and it's Microsoft-owned platform for developing web applications. Not surprisingly, the official website address for the technology is also asp.net, so every time I write the accronym on Quora, it changes it to a link and changes the text to the page title, which is The Official Microsoft ASP.

NET Site. This is annoying and I have to perform various work-arounds to prevent it from happening. Quora should not assume that I am posting a link unless I specify a protocol (e.

g. HTTP), write www. in front of the acronym or explicitly press the link button, which is available in the text editor.

This is how it's done on other websites, but not on Quora. Back to the link button. On Quora, editing link text is hard compared to other places.

Why can't its developers just enable two fields, one for the text and one for the URL, like it's implemented elsewhere? This is how posting links has worked on other websites for over a decade, but Quora is trying to reinvent the wheel and is failing at it

2. What are the downsides of Modi government?

The major drawback of the Modi government is total lack of any economic planning. The absence of a good economist has taken toll as the government trundles along bereft of any long term vision, essential to chart a plan for economic development, tackling all problems as and when they arise. The initial implementation of a major tax reform, the GST, is clear evidence of the inefficiency of the Finance Minister.

The GST rules were fraught with ambiguities and complexities that created absolute mayhem for the entire nation. The little one could expect from the lawyer-FM was his legal expertise in framing a practical GST Act. Depending upon a bunch of bureaucrats, far removed from ground realities, to frame the GST rules was not only immature but also stupid, considering the implication of this long awaited tax reform that had been debated considerably for nearly a decade.

The lack of economic planning had effected adversely both the agricultural and commercial sectors, leading to high discontentment in both. While farmers were deprived of suitable prices for their crops, industrial growth, especially small businesses, led to loss of jobs instead of creation of job opportunities.Mere rhetoric on past scams has lost its importance to the common man.

The government's penchant for linking aadhaar with everything (even death certificates) has led to severe discontentment. People voted Modi in response to his election promise of 'aachhey din'; woefully, 'aachhey' is untraceable, while what is conscipious is a mess or din everywhere

3. Why do so many people harshly criticize John Lennon for being unfaithful to Cynthia and Yoko but have nothing to say about George Harrison being a serial philanderer during both his marriages?

George had a love of women to be certain and was the worse one of the Beatles as far as affairs go but George was discreet where John was more in the eye of the public. Georges affairs were just that and many were one night stands which are somewhat common in the music world. It has also been well documented that Patty wasnt exactly faithful herself but it does seem that Olivia was a faithful wife.

As someone else mentioned John was pretty cruel about his affairs and it is well documented that John was abusive as well. His affair with Yoko was devastating for Cynthia and Julian. He was both physically and mentally abusive where George was not.

John could just be cruel and actually took a woman in another room and had sex with her at a party with Yoko in the next room and everyone knew what was going on. Nothing discreet about that and evidently Yoko was totally humiliated when it happened. There have been talk about plans to do a movie based on Georges life that will include the fact that he was a serial cheater.

His cheating is well known and there are many publications that have reported on it, read some of these for yourself.https://www.google.

What are the downsides to a one-world government?

Redistribution of wealth and multiculturalism are the main reasons. To all you liberals and idealists out there, these probably sound like great ideas.

However, they never work. One can look at all the failings of the EU to see why one world government is undesirable. The redistribution of wealth has lead to a high dependence on the state, deep deficits, and social unrest when the inevitable austerity measures are enforced.

Multiculturalism and open borders are also taking heavy tolls on Europeans. While most people blame them of being xenophobic, the truth is foreigners come in with no intentions of assimilating or integrating into the society. It is okay to bring your traditions from home; nevertheless if one is coming to a new country by their own will, then they should embrace that country and follow its laws and customs.

If you are coming to a different country, you should respect their social norms. Failure to do so leads to tension and chaos. With one world government, it is nothing more than a social experiment, that is against the natural human condition.

Since you have conspiracy theories in the tags, I guess it's acceptable for me to spew some. I think the EU is a template and experiment in one world government. I don't think those were it's original intentions, but I believe some are looking at the EU as to what one world government would look like.

So far it is doubtful the great European experiment will last

5. When the plane takes off, why doesn't the tail hit the runway?

If you are fed up of being a pilot and want to get away from it in a very spectacular fashion, striking the tail on the runway will be a good way to do it.

Many onlookers would remember it for the rest of their life. There will be a speed called V_mu (minimum unstick speed) for every jetliner. This speed will be a little higher than V_r and a little below V_lof.

What is great about this speed is you would be able to get airborne safely without a chance of a stall or any other scary aerodynamic occurrence, but your tail will strike. Thus, you could come back and make your very final landing. Let's get serious now.

At V_mu, the lift created by the wings is not enough to actually lift off the airplane. But due to the nose up attitude the Thrust of the airplane creates a vertical component. The higher the tail downforce, the higher is this vertical component until the tail strikes and that will be highest force that will be produced.

At V_lof, the wing creates enough lift to oppose the weight, and the gentle pull back on control column at V_r will result in a decent take off.Did I tell you the scene will be much better at night? Picture shows an A350 tail strike (test flight)

What are some historical facts that sound fictional?

A movie was made called Catch Me If You Can about Frank Abagnale, a 15 year old boy who led merry chase around the world passing bad checks while pretending to be an airline pilot, a doctor, a lawyer and an FBI agent. The movie is entertaining and even sappy.

The whole thing seems unbelievable - but the truth is so much more unbelievable as to be disbelieved. You really need to read the book. Some parts of the book were so incredible that the movie could not deal with them because no one would believe them.

At one point, Abagnale was finally captured and put in jail - and was able to convince his captors he was an FBI agent sent to investigate their practices on prisoners while in jail. The captors decided they were too smart to let the people in Washington catch them - so they let him go - and gave him a police cruiser to escape with. The movie is sympathetic to Abagnale but he really was not a sympathetic creature.

He was a user who used women like kleenex and dumped them when they were no longer necessary to his plans. He left many hurt and betrayed people behind. But the things he did through sheer audacity were incredible.

I highly recommend the book over the movie. As an aside, I once met him at a Cisco seminar where he was the keynote.

Simon Sinek is famous for his thoughts on leadership. What has he actually led successfully?

Simon Sinek is leading something bigger than most leaders could ever dream of.

Most leaders lead one or two things.ProcessPeopleMost leaders function to lead one or both of these two things.Leading a process is most common because anyone with knowledge on that system or specific set of information can step in to make sure the process continues as planned from start to finish.

Leading people begins when expectations are set for behavior and then the leader can coach or correct based on performance.Really good leaders set incredibly high expectations for the people and processes they lead and then develop those people and processes to meet the high expectation. Good leaders provide tools and tactics for the success of who or what they lead.

What Simon Sinek is leading is more than a process or people. Simon Sinek is leading a movement.Simon Sinek has been the poster child for leading people and processes into understanding that what they do in their jobs is bigger than they are.

He is communicating to the masses that a person is not defined by their job but by the impact they have within that job. Simon Sinek is giving power to all people and all processes by naming Why.To lead this movement Simon Sinek had to first understand and become really good at leading people and leading a process.

Now he has combined that to lead this movement. Hope this answers your question!.

8. Is it possible to breed even bigger dogs?

We are close to the biological limits right now.

Our largest dogs die fairly young from conditions directly attributable to their great size - I think that Great Danes are down to a median lifespan around 7 years old now - and larger dogs are also slower to mature. That window between too immature too breed or too many age-related problems to breed is already down to a handful of years in the giant breeds. If you increased size much more, that window would slam shut and you would have to breed dogs that were still immature (open growth plates, etc) in order for them to reproduce before their hearts or joints failed, cancer struck those long bones, etc.

As for hips, hip problems are a function of build and not of size. Sighthounds rarely or never have hip dysplasia, Irish Wolfhounds, the tallest dog breed in the world that weight at least 120 lbs have very, very few cases (about 5% by the OFAs, realize that only a small fraction of that number will have symptoms of joint problems). Italian Greyhounds (the smallest sighthound) similarly have almost none.

However, both Pugs and Mastiffs have high rates, along with other dogs that are heavy for their size like Labradors or Australian Cattle Dogs. The only change that you see is that larger dogs tend to have symptoms younger than smaller dogs if they have the condition.
