For just $100 a week a thrifty Sydneysider could have their own private room - complete with a single mattress on the floor, foldable wardrobe and a fan.
Pictures of the makeshift bedroom, which has been advertised on Facebook, show the small space in the living room with room dividers surrounding the mattress.
The cosy space is just 20 minutes from the city and five minutes from Coles, according to the advertisement. There is also a bus stop one minute away.
The listing sparked a major response from social media users - prompting the owner to remove it from Facebook.
Sydneysiders have been known to get creative when it comes to living arrangements.
An improvised bedroom in the CBD was advertised in April for$185 a week.
The bedroom was in the living room and was formed with the use of handful of screens arranged in a square.
Within the small confines, the homeowner managed to squeeze in a set of drawers, a single bed and a mobile coat hanger.
A drawback curtain has also been put in place of a door.
And while renters may have been feeling the squeeze over the cost of living in the city - experts claim there may be a reprieve on the way.
Data suggests rents in Australia's biggest city have been slowly declining over the past year.
Median rent for tenants in the city was recorded at $701.60 a week - a 4.9 per cent fall compared with a year ago, data from property analysis firm SQM Research showed.
Leasing an apartment also became cheaper, with weekly rents in the New South Wales capital falling by 3.1 per cent to $507.50, as of March 2019.
