I would tell him to man up, it takes two to make a baby and he is clearly too self involved to see how much your stressed. my fella was exactly the same and i ended up developing serious P.N.D. if he wont Talk to his parents about if you would be able to stay if you and he broke up or cut your losses and move back home to your own parents because you REALLY need all the support you can get when the baby does come.

As a single mother I was told the same thing. It's completely unfair. You can be a mother, but you can not be the father too. If he chooses not to create or maintain a relationship with his daughter, that is his fault, not yours. Plus, if you do all the work, your daughter does not exactly have a relationship with her. This is what I recomend. Stop sending him pictures. Stop giving him updates about your baby. Send him an email (and save it for proof). If he chooses to give up all rights to his daughter and then request this information afterward you reserve the right to not disclose. This puts the ball in his court. You wo not waste your time giving him something special he may not appreciate. You wo not be set up for constant hurt. Most importantly, if he chooses not to have a relationship at all, you will not be required to share any part of her life with him unless you choose to. And if anyone criticizes you for any of this, stick up for yourself. Try any of the following if you want to. "I can not be a father for him." "He is keeping himself from my baby, not me." "If he wants pictures he will simply have to ask." "If he gives up custody he is choosing to not be in my baby's life. That is his choice, not mine." "It really is not your business!" If possible, keep all future communications with him through email. If you ever need to prove his behavior you wil have a record. If he calls simply ask him to confirm it all in an email. If he does not , send him an email stating everything he said. Then ask him to reply so you know that you remembered correctly.
