Do All Dogs Need Toys?

it depends on the dog.. i use to work at the Humane Society and we gave all the dogs toys. some of them dont play with them, they mayb older and not in the stage of being playful, some are just not interested in toys but will play around wit ppl.... try buyin him a stuffed toy that squeeks or a bone 2 chew. . he might entertain him self. .. or if not buy him a KONG and u can put treats in side and that will keep him entertained for hours

i know some men r touchy about this, but u handled it great asking the question. tell him what u said on here. reasure him he is enough. what i would do is tell him u want to get toys for him also. so both of u can play. the best thing we did was 69 and i would use the toy at the same time. she would go buck wild, it was great.

As for your son, I understand what you mean about not wanting him to miss out on things, and there are tons of cool books and toys and educational tools and art supplies out there. But, try to think of the opportunities he's missing out on with so many toys... like maybe opportunities to use his imagination or to be creative. If you can return some of the toys, that's good, or it might be a good lesson for him (and you?) to give some of the toys (maybe one's he's outgrown) to charity, or you could sell them online. Another piece of advice I have for not buying things is: do not shop. I know its hard, like really really hard. But, just do not go out to those stores. Do not go down those aisles. Do not go online to look at things. Advertising makes it hard, too, so just be aware of that. When you are watching T.V. and reading magazines and driving past billboards you are being told that you need to buy things. Ok, I hope I have not rambled too much, but I hope this is helpful.
