WIth this information, you can easily call 1-800-ALL-AUDI or 1-248-373-2300 to get a perfectly good used part with the SAME EXACT PART NUMBER. Chances are that you have a sticking relay. Be sure your battery connections are perfectly clean and that the main cable to your starter has no corrosion on EITHER end of the cable.

I am a Factory Certified Ford Tech with 20 years at the dealer. The cooling fan relay is located inside the Integrated Relay Control Module, ( IRCM ). There are actually 2 relays, one for high speed and one for low speed. The module is located under the air cleaner or close by. Ford moved it many times. It has around 25-30 pins on the connector. I remember the part number had " 12B577" in it. Try grabbing the connector and flexing it. For some reason twisting the connector with your hand will make it work. You can also tighten the connector a little with a 7/32 socket and this might help. If this does not work the module may still be bad. You will need to find the wire color coming out of the pcm going to the IRCM to see if the pcm is commanding it on. The pcm does not command the fan on until around 221-223 degrees. Does the Fan come on when the A/C is turned on? Does the fan spin fast enough? The motors went out frequently, even when they were new, and they would melt the connector on the motor.
