GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE's Mini Stay-Pufts Are Terrifying Toys

As soon as we saw the first clip from Ghostbusters: Afterlife, we knew what it meant. Paul Rudd's encounter with sadistic miniature Stay-Puft marshmallow men does not tell us whether or not the movie will be good though. That scene made clear what kind of toys we can expect. Those little monsters make for perfect collectibles. What we did not realize however was how quickly that would be true. Hasbro has already announced a line of Ghostbusters mini Stay-Puft Surprise toys. And just like in that clip, some of them look cute. While others are total nightmares. Hasbro's newest Ghostbusters toys bring those diminutive Stay-Pufts to toy shelves in a fitting package. Each 1.5-inch figures come inside a small tub filled with a "goopy marshmallow-like compound." A fact we are sure parents are going to love. Each tiny toy captures one of the "new mischievous personalities" from the movie's little guys. That can mean unearthing an adorable Stay-Puft enjoying a chocolate bar. Or perhaps one relaxing in the sun. It can also mean finding one screaming in pain because he's on fire. Which is nothing compared to the Puft walking around with his marshmallow mate's head. Yeah! Real bleak! For a toy marked for ages four and up, some of these are quite disturbing. You wo not know which one you got until you open your tub. Each one comes with a different "surprise" figure. They will come to stores in "multiple blind waves" starting this fall. Every release will have six unique figures. You will find them at "most major retailers" for the low price of $5.39. By then we imagine there will be many other ways to take home these sticky demons. That was obvious as soon as Paul Rudd saw one crawl out of a bag of Stay-Puft marshmallows. These tiny cannibals scream "toys" as much as they make us scream "kill them all!"

3. How can I save some Money at Disney?

Shop at Wal-Mart for snacks, beverages and stuff you can prepare so you can save money on food. Food at Disney is really expensive. And you can enter the parks with your own food, just make sure you do not bring any kind of glass bottles, they wo not let you in with them. But juice boxes, water bottles (which you can refill on water fountains). Snaks, fruits, sandwiches and stuff like that you can bring and eat at the parks. Also at Wal-Mart you can shop for souvenirs, like t-shirts, plush toys, etc.

4. Using a similar domain name, can you be sued?

In this case, I would say no. You can not just trademark a name. It has to go with a product. Since theirs is an entertainment venue, and yours is toys, you are not competitors. They do not have grounds to contest if the consumer can not confuse your products. Good luck! :)

5. Dolls Through the Ages

WHAT STARTED as a method used by 18th-century high fashion designers to sell their goods has come full circle with the commercialization of dolls in modern America. On exhibition through Jan. 17 at Oklahoma Art Center will be nearly 100 antique and collectible dolls and toys restored by Oklahoma City doll collector Sondra Woodard. Dolls by Jumeau, Schuenau and Hoffmeister, Dressel's Jutta, Heubach, Armand Marseille, Kewpie and Alexander will also be shown. Among dolls of history, the 1773 Queen Anne doll was a symbol of affluence and a sign of a people who revered royalty. Today's marketed Prince Charles and Princess Diana dolls reflect a return to that time, Woodard suggested.

6. How much will it cost for a small dog and what breed?

Well, we adopted a puppy for 75.00 and had her spayed, which cost about 100.00. Every month she has to have heartworm prevention and flea prevention. That's about $30.00 a month. She eats pretty good food, so that's about $40.00 a month (She has a skin allergy.) Edit: Poodles do not shed. I had one as a child. Oh yes, pills for that allergy? $140.00 a month. She has yearly shots for about $100.00. She tore a tendon last year and that surgery cost $2000.00. (Probably would not happen to your little dog, but what if your dog has another expensive injury?) She gets ear infections and trips to the vet and medicine for that can run about $80.00 once every few months. She has toys, treats, and grooming... that's probably another $150.00 a year. When we go out of town we either have to board her, or pay extra to take her with us in the hotel. Including the surgery, we spent over $5000.00 on our $75.00 mutt last year. Without surgery, you still spend about 2k to PROPERLY care for a dog.
