This is why most toy stores and other stores discontinued selling it. Because people do dumb stuff. When my friend bought the one we messed with, the only place in the city that sold it was Toys R Us. And it's cheap-o. I am probably not even getting the full effect of one. But if a spirit seem shady and wo not tell you their name or anything about it, you are supposed to immediately say goodbye. Idiot.

1. My dog digs out of her 20 by 20 kennel. I am wondering if I can use an invisible fence to keep her in?

Invisible Fences are ok but the dog has to be trained to the boundries before being able to use it. Otherwise the dog will just run through the fence, it only shocks them within a short distance of the fence so if they are not trained they will learn that if they run fast enough they can run right through with only a small shock. Whatever you decide with your fencing the attempts at escaping can be helped by extra exercise and mental stimulation. Active breeds such as a lab/german shepard needs at least an hour walk every day and some time to run. Mental stimulation can be given by going on different paths when you walk so they have new sights and smells, rotating toys out and taking them new places often. I do not recommend a tether/chain because of how dangerous they can be for dogs. It is very common for them to wrap them around trees/their house or there legs and injure or kill themselves. Sounds like it is an older recall, from February, and July . It was for a certain model. I would bet there are models out there that are okay.
