My Belgian is also a really hard chewer and I've gone through some of those "indestructible" toys from Petsmart, too. He's had it for a couple of months now and I am going to be looking for a tug toy by the same company at the dog show this weekend. They are a bit expensive, but worth it!
1. How do I stop my dog from chewing anything around?
spray them with water every time they start chewing one of the toys! and give them a firm no! i have a 10 month old staffy and if he does anything wrong i send him to his bed for 10 mins, and he stays there, he doesnt get out until i say he can. or maybe try different types of dog toys, like kongs are good they are rubber toys u fill with a treat or paste, keeps them ammused for a while and also puzzle toys for dogs, go to your local pet shop and ask them for advice on what toys are best for you dogs. hope this helps, good luck
2. How many dog toys should my 6 mo. old have?
i suppose enough to help it with the teething (but it should be over by now). the thing about dogs is they do not really care so much about what type and how many toys they have...just so long as you are also there to play with him and the toy =)
3. What puppy dog toys should i get?
My puppy's favorite toy was an empty plastic coke bottle on a tile floor
4. What dog toys does your dog like?
My 4 Huskies enjoy cat toys, especially when the neighbors cat comes onto our property, he has 3 cats that my dogs love to chase after. They also enjoy squirrels, chipmunks, birds, lizards and any other small game
5. is there any place where i can get free dog toys?
You could make some toys out of socks, or check out your 99 cent store. BUT, be mindful of imported toys that come from CHINA (lead). You might do well do invest in a hard rubber KONG, or a BUDABONE. It really depends on what kind of chewing or playing your dog is into. Even if pet toys cost more at PetSmart or PetCo, or CostCo, they are usually of better quality. Even some roast bones can safe or not, depending on how energetic your dog gets while chewing. Make sure that if you allow your dog to chew large bones, that he/she does not break off pieces small enough to get lodged in its throat. every dogs throat will take things larger than you might think it can, and can quickly kill your dog by cutting of fit's air supply. Those larger, twisted heavy rope toys are usually safe, but still, monitor your pets chewing and never leave your pet gnawing on something which may even possible get into it's throat.
6. What dog toys do Australian shepherds like?
Yes and no. There are Toy Australian Shepherd dogs but they are really just tiny Australian Shepherds. They take the smallest dogs from every litter and breed those and so on. We just got a mini-Australian Shepherd and the breeder showed us some of the Toy puppies. They should look and act like the same dog for the most part!
7. What types of dog toys should I get my new puppy?
I recommend you get not that many toys, because it might overwhelm her. I would also recommend anything with a rope attached to it, why this is, is because anything that they can tug on is good for their teeth, especially puppies. My dog LOVES "kongs" they are available at pet smart, you can fill them with basic things such as treats, other small things and food. I would just get her a little blanket because they like the comfort. good luck, and i hope you have fun with you are pup!!
8. Can you suggest any dog toys for my dog? ?
My 50lb Am Bully loves her Kong and Nylabones - both the Galileo and Big Chew are favorites and lasting well
9. Does anyone know of any sites that give out free dog toys, bones, treats, or food?
If youre really trying to save money, just go to a dollar general, dollar tree, and they have 98 cent dog toys at walmart. Or at the local butcher (if you have one) they will sometimes give out the smoked bones for dogs. Or if you have rope you can tie and play with the dog.
