crusties are normal with any healing piercing. as long as what is coming out is clear, white or slightly yellowed, you are fine your cartilage will be sore for a while. my orbital took about a month to not be constantly sore. ice and ibuprofen will help with pain and discomfort. signs of infection: green, brown red or some other unusual color of secretion foul odor hot feeling to the touch usually accompanied by streaked redness the reason your bar is soooo long is to accommodate for swelling. believe it or not...your cartilage does swell. if you are dead set on switching out the jewelry, go back to the piercer and get their help. your piercing is new enough that you may have difficulty getting the jewelry back through. not to be rude, but, short barbells are just as likely to get bumped around as the industrial bar, and actually, you are more likely to catch two barbells than the one bar. do not touch your piercings unless you are cleaning them and always clean your hands before you touch do not mess with the crusties unless you are cleaning. cartilage piercings take about a year to fully heal. you've only had your piercings for a week. be patient.
1. Industrial (Ear) Piercing? Kinda scared..?
You probably wont get a keloid. What you probably mean is just 'the bump'. It's just built up scar tissue. It is possible to prevent this. Get pierced with 2 short bars in stead of one long bar to help it. You do not need to clean it 3 times a day. Twice is enough. Not cleaning it twice a day does not mean your gonna get an infection. You should probably do more research before getting it. You do not sound 100% certain anyways.
2. How Old Do You Have To Be To Get An Industrial Ear Piercing?
my friends 13 and she has one. you just need parental consent
3. My industrial ear piercing won't stop oozing?
well..there could be a problem..i think that you may of not token that good of care for your ears..you probably would have to re-pierced them and take better care of them!good luck:)
4. How much dose an Industrial ear piercing cost?
It depends from state to state and from shop to shop. Here, in CT, there is a wonderful little store in our CT Post Mall, and they use clean sterile needles, and have a 100 percent success rate, just putting it out there for you haters.... ANYWAYS! It is fairly cheap there, $35. But it could range anywhere from that to even $60! So, look around at different shops to find the best price. GOOD LUCK!

9. How much does getting an industrial ear piercing hurt?

10. Infected industrial ear piercing?
You must do everything in your power to keep it clean. Follow the piercer's instruction. Use the salt water solution but boil the water first then let it cool before use, use antiseptic, tie your hair back to keep oils away from the fresh piercing. Flip your pillow case nightly for the same reason. You really do not want to toy with an infection that close to the brain. Also, try to avoid getting unsterile water on the fresh piercing. I got a staph infection through a lanced spider bite from Seattle City water two years ago and nearly lost my leg. 16 days in the hospital another 21 on 2000 cc vancomyacin daily with a pump and two months off work. I do not know where you are but do not trust city water. If you can not get it under control in a day or two you should consult the piercer and have them check it out. I am not trying to scare you - I am just saying what I am saying. ;) Take care
