Homemade Hamster Toys?!?

My hamster used to love running through old cardboard toilet paper tubes that we put in his cage

1. Has any one got any good ideas for home made hamster toys ???

I used to put socks in my hamsters cage and he loved going through them like tubes. He also used to sleep in the sock in the winter. Good Luck!

The paper towel tube was a great idea, I did the same with my hamsters. Hamsters do not really need that many toys. You could try putting a clean old sock in your hamsters cage. My hamsters loved to lay on top of it and run in and out of it. You could also put a mirror in it's cage. Make sure it is not broken and make sure the side are covered up so they do not cut themselves. My hamster loved going to the mirror and pretending there was another hamster. But my other hamster would start fighting with the mirror. It all depends on your hamster. You probably have a wheel already. Good luck with your hamster and God bless you!

toilet/paper towel roll a clean sock an empty tissue box tie a string to the top of the cage. at the end of it, put a treat. use your imagination!

He might be vitamin deficient. I would get either a mineral block or drops to put in his water bottle (keep a bottle with regular water handy in case he does not like it). Check his teeth every day to make sure they are not chipped or broken. If they are, take him to a vet to get them evened out. Otherwise you are doing a very good job of keeping him occupied

I have a hamster wheel connected to my hamster's cage and she LOVES it. She runs around in it all night, and has sooo much fun. Also I got her a hamster ball to run around in my room without going under anything, and it gives her time to be out of her cage for a little bit. She likes that.

Sticks and wood blocks to chew on, tubes to crawl through, food to eat and store, a hamster ball to roll around in... Things like a hamster ball are at almost any pet stores. Mine loved to crawl through paper towel tubes, if they are too tight cut them open on one side. Just replace it before it gets too chewed up

My hamster really likes this ice cream shaped chew. It comes in three flavors: Chocolate, vanilla, and banana(or strawberry, not sure). She will strut around with one in her mouth when I give it to her. She always brings it to her nest. I've also had luck with the grassy-reedy type round nest ball thing. I do not know the name of it, sorry. For some reason she finds it fascinating to walk in and out of it. And you can never go wrong with a running wheel!

what i liked to do is get a pen and tie a latex or a baloon on the tip and make it grab it or pop it and my hamster would be so scared and start running on the treadmill xD

What I do is , Get all my dvd cases and open them up and make diffrent tunnels , mazels , stairs the lot. My hamster loves it , Do not forget to put treats in there too

Paper towel rolls are always good. Get some tunnels etc... I have been Googling for hamsters lately myself. I want one heh Card board is always a good chew toy. Soup cans so they can burry themselves. Clean it out really good!
