How Can I Build Scalable JavaScript Code?

I personally find a component based event driven approach a good fit for the large scale applications. You can modularize your code into components and handle communication between them via events. Every component stays independent from others.

Twitter released a nice framework called Flight which follows similar conventions. Even if you need a "raw-JavaScript" solution it would be still valuable to look at their implementation for some ideas.Another idea which helps with maintaining a big code base is to choose some sort of module loader.

I personally find RequireJS a perfect fit for it. It takes time to get used to it but it pays off in a long run. The code is better organized and you can quickly determine the interdependencies between files and modules which helps when the code base and the number of programmers grow in time.

When you are ready for release you can use r.js to concat and minify your code

As a 13 year old, how can I avoid being cringy?

I'm a teen in high school so I knowFirst you gotta talk to people.

Doesn't matter who weird or cool wherever you feel comfortable. What you gotta do is just talk with them any kind of interactions is a step forward even if you fuck it up completely and people laugh its progress the only step backward is when you chose not to. This will build social skills and no matter who will make people less cringy or weird.

This also builds confidence major bonus points if you ask a girl out. Self-confidence and social skills come hand in hand so when youre social skills inevitably increase over time so does confidence. Self-confidence helps with not being cringy because you care less about fitting in your feeling comfortable already.

So you stop trying to fit in and become confident and that makes better social skills etc etc. You stop using some jokes to just fit in and stop giving that extra second when youre laughing to see what they think of you. Hope that was informative ask me any questions!

A man is x years old and his son is 15 years old. What is their total age?

If we knew that the man was 40 years old, how would you find the combined age?

You would add them together. You would write either the father's age plus the son's age or the son's age plus the fathet's age, that is, 40 15 55 or 15 40 55. Let us do this same thing.

The father's age is given as the variable (a letter standing for an unknown number), so we will use that. We will write x 15 or 15 x. You will note that I have not written an equal sign () because we are at the end of what we can do with the information we are given.

X 15 or 15 x is the total of the two ages. (There is probably a convention which prefers the one way of writing this above the other, but I will have to ask the mathematicians out there to add that as I cannot now remember which it is, and even if I did, there may be a new rule in place since I learned it seventy years ago. ).

What are the most generic steps for becoming a good graphic designer?

There are no generic steps to become good at something. You have to work hard, practice a lot, and learn from your own experiences and the experiences of others.

With that said it is a good idea to watch what others are doing. I am a big advocate of following good designers, learning from them and at least when you are a beginner, try to copy them. Copy them you said?

Yes. Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting to copy their work and sell it as yours. When you copy someone's work you learn several things.

One, you keep your eyes open to new ideas. Follow the work of several designers you like and you will see a lot of things you've never thought of. It helps you envision what is possible, nurture your imagination.

Second, by copying other people's work you don't take the easy path of just following what you feel comfortable with, it makes you push your own limits and learn new skills and techniques.A good graphic designer thinks outside the box. This trait can be developed to a certain degree but for some people it comes natural.

What are some words and phrases Hawaiians use to say hello?

I've lived on Maui for a year and a half and have not spent much time on the other islands so I can only speak for Maui. If they think you are local, they may say "howzit?

", a shortened form of "how is it?" similar to "what's up". You are not expected to answer this question unless you know the person well.

I occasionally hear "Aloha" as a greeting, but it's usually in stores, hotels, restaurants, and other service situations where management has probably requested employees to say that. When I worked for a vacation rental management, we greeted callers with "Aloha" to try and add to the appeal and differentiation of coming to Hawaii (none of us were native Hawaiian).I hear a lot of older, white transplant residents and vacationers say "Aloha" to each other.

My friends and I will sometimes say "Aloha" to each other if we want to appear super excited. It's fun. Other times, Hawaiians just say hello

Is the friend zone really real?

I suppose you could make the argument that being put into the friendzone is real. The only salient fact is that the person in the friendzone put themselves there. If you like a girl, and you tell her so, or ask her out, and she says thank you, but I just want to be friends, she didn't do anything to you.

She just said no to going out with you and/or being your girlfriend. The friendzone is created by you when you decide to hang around, being friends with this girl, and hoping you can change her mind by your determination. If you walk away, ask another girl out, or otherwise remove your focus from the girl, you never get stuck in the friendzone.

You have total control. You just have to be willing to stop waiting for that one girl to change her mind.Yeah, some guys are faking the friend thing and their other motive is to get more from the girl.

But, that's the hanging around trying to change her mind part. That's the trap the guy walks into himself. Even if he thinks he's fooling the girl, he isn't.

He's just wasting his time

What do you do when a woman says hi to you?

My basic instinct is to greet her back, as I do with anyone who greets me. Even better, I greet anyone that makes eye contact with me (if itu2019s possible, not on like the highway where they are speeding past me).

After that depends on how busy I am. If Iu2019m in a hurry it ends with a greeting and get on with my day. If I have time Iu2019d ask how their day was and see if there is an ulterior motive to this niceness (people tend to be nice when they need something from me).

If they need something from me my first instinct is to say u201cnou201d or u201cI donu2019t knowu201d. Doesnu2019t matter who it is, thatu2019s my first reply. Only after that I actually start considering if I can say yes after all (is it something I can do?

do I have time? do I feel like it?), and then weu2019ll see.

If itu2019s just a friendly chat, then letu2019s go. Always up for a nice talk. Meeting new people can be quite illuminating.

What will be the programming languages in the early 2020s?

The answer heavily depends on what you wish to do using these coding languages. For example, if you wish to become a game developer, then C is the perfect language for you, despite it being one of the hardest languages to master.

If you wish to be a Windows application developer, then C# and Java should be your main focus. These two are also useful for Android development. C# is also popular among cross-platform developers.

If it is research-based work you wish to learn programming language for, then there are languages like Python, R, MatLab, etc. Web development can be done using several languages including C#, Python, PHP, JavaScript, etc. C is a must if you wish to work with operating system kernels.

There is no best programming language out there. The terms should be, Best for the job. But first, you have to specify the job.

If you, however, havent figured out the job, then I suggest you get enrolled at programming schools such as Holberton School. These schools will help you keep in touch with a different language and expose you to different types of activities possible using programming language so that you can pick up the one you feel is the best match for you

How can I just forget about my twin flame and move on with life?

I honestly think the only way to do so looks to find someone else in alignment with where you are at that time.

I'm not saying find another twin flame but we are ever evolving and changing, so is your twin. If you want to get over them, take the steps in the direction away from them and turn focus inward. By focusing within you will give off different energy and who knows who that may attract or what shifts or will cause.

Getting over a twin isn't easy but I don't think it's impossible. And I consider getting over" to mean going more than a day without them crossing your mind, still holding hope for what was our what could be, and living inside your head not heart. To me during times of separation I've turned to myself to heal and watched my reality shift to whatever and whoever suits my highest good at that time.

Good luck!

Is it normal that I still miss my therapist a lot one year after termination?

I would say that if they helped you, you might or might not miss them.

If you would like to understand your feelings better, you can ask yourself some questions: Have I made progress with this person? Do I still need some help? Do I miss our relationship?

Am I attracted to them? I'm sure there are other relevant questionsI see mine far less often than I used to because I have made much progress. That said, we consider each other good and trusted friends (though we don't socialize) and if I never talked to him again, I'd miss him.

When I miss our sessions (him/my friend) I may text to share a beneficial article that I've read it something like that, just to keep in touch.Ultimately, a therapist is someone that helps us at a certain time in our life and hopefully we gain enough insight and skills not to need them as much as time goes on. Still, it is a relationship that we've built and someone who knows us intimately, so in my opinion, it would be normal to miss them once the sessions end.

Why is the English word u201ctwou201d spelled and pronounced the way it is?

Philology and the Norman Conquest of England.Hereu2019s the etymology: two - WiktionaryThis takes you back to proto Indo-European.

But we neednu2019t go back that far.Just go back to the fall of Rome and the subsequent Romance languages that evolved from Latin. One of them was French.

The inhabitants of England prior to 1066 were largely Germanic migrants who gained dominance over the island centuries beforehand. Their dialect was closely related to Frisian, in which u2018zweiu2019 becomes u2018tweeu2019.So for hundreds of years that was evolving but the TW sound remained.

Fast forward to Hastings and now the country is being run by Francophones who say u2018deuxu2019. Itu2019s widely believed that over time the French influence on the word (spelled u2018twou2019 at the time) simply rendered the W silent. Why did that stick and French didnu2019t replace all the Germanic words in the English vocabulary?

Because the nobility and their employees would be the ones working with numbers in an official capacity. Remember that about 95% of the world back then was entirely illiterate
