The mantra for living your dreams is the same, focus on them, don't give up and so on.Yet there seems to be quite a large number of people who haven't lived the life of their dreams. If all these people were unsuccessful, unhappy, depressed and so on it would be obvious.It's just as valid to follow a dream dream to not live the life of your dreams. Giving up on your dreams has an equal likelihood of resulting in a successful and happy life as living your dreams.

In the end, the choice of what to do with your dreams is down to you. It certain that whatever choice you make some will agree with your choice and others will not. However, remember it's your life and your dreams, nightmares, enjoyment, happiness and so on.

I highly doubt it. I find nothing helpful in working through" the past to assist in my recovery. Due to social anxiety group DBT hasn't worked for me, but one on one sessions with DBT skills has helped so far.. it's the only thing that's been any help.

I have theories about what triggered mine, but I can't ever be 100%. Not one incident pops off at me enough to be sure that it could have caused it. I believe I've narrowed it down but none feel traumatic enough for anything to be gleaned from them. I've moved on. I'm a middle-aged man just doing his best to not pass illness on to my little ones. I don't want a pound of flesh, I don't want to relive my childhood. I feel like I'm dyed in the wool at this point and simply want to be better. To do that I see no benefit in looking back
