I don't think it would be a whole lot. The only way you could really find out is to know one of the chefs, or get close to someone who does know them. They would not be doing it for the money, and if that's what you are thinking, forget it.
The chefs are doing it for the incredible knowledge and experience- learning to cook the finest food on earth w the finest skills. Some are doing it to make their resume look good but I would not advise this thinking. The work is incredibly brutal and gruelling, 15-17 hour days, and be prepared to be yelled at constantly in a hot confined space and be treated like shit.

By all means put all the prose and praise for my company in the cover letter. Fawn over us for a paragraph, tell us how our work/life balance sings to you and our company mission is your ideal goal in life and your One True Calling. Customize and target that cover letter to get us to get you in the door.
Tell us your objectives in there, by all means.But the resume itself? Facts and figures are enough.

No its not. But its common courtesy to wait till you are been introduced. First ,from your comment, its like he's a guy and your friend and you are girls.
There's a friction kind of thing between friendships with other genders. In other words ,she might like him. The fact that she didn't introduce you, or that you jumped in to introduce yourself while you are with her and you are there because of her and met him because of her, its natural to get angry.
If you had met somewhere else, thats fine. But you did not only introduce yourself, you specified that you wanted to be his friend. As i said earlier, its not wrong to, but you shouldn't have.
