I never buy toys that are noisy... I would not want anyone to buy them for my house. I usually avoid buying toys that are mass produced and have a ton of teeny tiny accessories. I prefer buying something with some educational value or a book. I find they are used more often. .. all the other stuff they get bored of quickly
1. Need Clothing and Toys for children in foster care as well as for underpriviledged and at-risk children.?
GOOD FOR YOU!!! If you do not live near this lady, I encourage everyone to stop by their local Social Services and donate any old clothing, or baby items they no longer need. People never think to give items to these children, but they really do need it. Even items for older kids that are about to leave care, like toasters, and couches are very useful, and keeps them out of landfills.
2. Should parents dont buy toy guns or war toys for their children if YES or NO give reasons why?
while I am not for it, I know it will happen sooner or later. My only requirement is that it does not look like a real gun. For example a neon yellow or bright orange water gun is obviously a toy. However, some are toy guns that look way to realistic and it scares me that if he were to ever find one at a friends house he might think it is a toy and hurt someone or himself accidently. So I believe it is up to me to try to deter him away from realistic guns and let him know the dangers it can bring, as well as educate him on why the bright colored toy guns are okay. I also know that my kids will not have access to those horribly violent realistic video games under my watch.
3. Why will no one take free used toys for their children for the holidays?
I am all for free toys or even cheap toys. They are toys. They are just going to get messed up, scratched, etc in a few hours anyway. I donate the kid's toys all the time. Somebody buys them at the Goodwill store,so I know they go somewhere! I agree with the poster saying they are trying to scam people. It's just too easy to return things to the stores without receipts these days or turn around and sell them as new on Craigslist or Ebay for profit!
4. How would you recommend choosing toys for children? And how do you do it yourself?
I question the toys all the time. I like wooden toys better. I think that they may be safer because I have read that plastic can have hormone disruptor's in them.. I also remember not to long ago that there was a big fisher price recall because of lead being in the pant that they use to color the plastic. You know kids are funny they are just as happy playing with a paper box.
5. What are examples of GOOD and BAD toys for children?
Well, it really depends on the age group! From ages Newborn to 3, try to make sure that they are not choking hazards. (you can test this by taking a paper towel tube and putting the toy in it, and if it slides through, then its probably not the best thing for the child to have.) The duplo legos are nice (big legos) my little brother loves those, but they are such a pain to clean up. any kid over 1 really likes to color, but you should watch them with the crayons so they do not start to chomp on them
6. homemade toys for children 3-5 HELP!!!!?
How about a simple puzzle? Take a somewhat large picture of an object (laminate it so it will last) and cut it into 3's or 4's. The child would quickly figure out how to put it together easily without direction. The picture could be a person, a tree, a toy. Also, you could put two different puzzles( very different pictures) in the box and they would have to decipher which piece goes where. It's a challenge that would be attainable by a 3-5 year old
