If I Just Introduce Myself to a Stranger Will They Think I'm Weird?

Some may think itu2019s unusual, and some people might not mind at all. It all depends on where you are located. For example, Iu2019m from New York and no offense to my fellow New Yorkers but, we tend to be a little u201con edgeu201d most of the time and many people chose to simply mind their own business.

So, if you introduce yourself to a stanger in New York or another place with a similar u201cmind your own businessu201d vibe, then I would think they would see it as weird since most people their donu2019t tend to be very friendly and/or welcoming. Especially in the city. However, if you are in a place located in the west or south, like Texas, California, Florida, etc.

Then people may not see you introducing yourself to them as weird because people tend to be more friendly and welcoming there. It all depends on the vibe of the location. Then again, you also have to keep in mind that peopleu2019s moods change throughout the day, so itu2019s not entirely based on your location.

Somebody from Florida could be having a really bad day and might come off as u201con edgeu201d, and someone from New York who is having a great day may come off as more friendly and welcoming

Do Czechs love Slovaks and Slovaks Czechs?

Do Czechs love Slovaks and vice versa? Do French love English and vice versa?

Do Hungarians love Austrians and vice versa?I will give out my honest opinion. If one is human and acknowledges that other people regardless of nationality are same as him, there is this mutual acceptance that cannot be called love but lets say, a decent humanism.

I would not say we necessarily love each other. There are many Slovaks that do not like certain fellow citizens, haha. You know, right?

Love is too big of a word. But I am not aware of any feud that divides us. There are predjudices, yes, but one would be crazy to act upon them.

I have heard from bad treatment of Slovaks in Czechia, just as I have heard Slovaks bad-mouth Czechs. That is people being people,To put it simply:No. We do not love each other.

Neither do we hate each other. It varies from one person to the other and personally, I do not view Czechs as a nation of a certain type of people, thus I cannot say I like them or not. I like people (outside my bubble) and I do not care where they come from and will not judge them upon it.

I also think that it is wrong doing such judgements based on nationality. Sure, some have varying opinions on our history with these neighbours, but I see no reason for it.I may as well be called a GenZ navete

What is it like to marry an Albanian man as a foreigner?

It is challenging but rewarding . Marrying outside of your culture is going more of a challenge.Albanian men from my experience are hard working, very moral and like to be the head of the house, make the decisions and avoid any domestic responsibilities.

The Albanian women seem to treat their men like kings and serve them like children. As a British woman I have found this hard to live up to! But i offer my own benefits.

I earn plenty of money, have travelled the world and can support him with navigating a Western world. So we are equal with what we provide for our family. My husband makes most of the decisions within our family including the finances and what we are striving towards.

He is sensible and ambitious and has more drive then myself. I support him.My inlaws have always been welcoming of me and are happy we married.

From my understanding they wanted him to find a wife of the same age, the same ethnicity, who had not been previously married and had no children. I met the wants of the family but if i did not I do not believe he would have married me even if he loved me.I feel an Albanian husband is a good choice for me and he has certainly made sure that we are doing well with our life together and achievements as a family.

How should I address an email to multiple people?

Depends on the group:Work colleaguesFormal: ColleaguesInformal: Hey, FolksFamily, multigenerationalLoved onesHey, idiotsTo those sharing genes with meFamily, same generationHey, idiotsYo!Oh, shit, we're getting old.

FriendsDumb, dumber and dumbest (you choose)Cherished friendsThe point is, it depends on the mood you want to set, how close you are, and how many chances you're up for taking. You can get uproarious laughter, or fall flat on your face. An example from my career.

One of the teams for which I was responsible came into a time critical operation 16 hours behind schedule due to delays in other parts of the bank. We were using a voice mail system for bank wide status updates. At the end of that shift, that team had made up the 16 hours, got their 8 done, and left their section 8 hours ahead on the timeline.

32 hours of work in 8. As I dictated their accomplishments, I wound it up with the words: Congratulations to the Commercial Lending team for kicking ass. Ten minutes later I was being lectured by my boss for my use of unprofessional language in bank wide communications when a beep interrupted the call announcing a new message.

We mutually put each other on hold and listened. It turned out to be the Chairman of the Board, who had just left a bank wide message, congratulating my team for some serious ass kicking".Sometimes you fall flat with an audience like my rather straight laced boss.

Sometimes, that audience offers apologies when they realize you'd got it absolutely right.

What is the best language to learn after C and C?

One thats a better match for your next project for technical or organizational reasons like your team knowing it.

Historically, engineers have found utility in knowing:At least one popular general purpose statically typed language. Today thats mostly Java or C, although Scala is somewhat popular for system software and Microsofts ecosystem is built around C#. At least one scripting language with a good library system for ad-hoc tasks including log file manipulation, typically Python although Perl with CPAN was very popular.

At least one scripting language with good support for running external programs and a Read-Eval-Print-Loop, typically bash under Unix and Powershell for Windows. At least one declarative domain specific language for building software. Historically this was make, although it does not lend itself to recursive application in large projects.

Buck and gradle are contemporary programs. An easily embedded language for program configuration is also useful. Today Lua seems to be the leader, although historically we used TCL and Python is easy enough to embed.

Today you might addSQL as the defacto standard declarative language for database queriesPHP as the defacto standard web application creation language, or its descendant HackHistorically, it was useful to learn languages with different paradigms like functional programming in LISP. Today, practical languages are multi-paradigm and extensible so this is less important. Higher order functions play a big role in the C standard library.

It also supports futures and promises for concurrent programming, although Facebook folly futures do a better job

How are you? How are you doing today? How do you feel?

I feel sleepy and calm. Ive been up for 18 hours and I intend to make it to 28 hours (Its harder because I have nothing to do). No its not a contest or a challenge or anything.

Ive just been staying up late a lot lately and thats taking a toll on me, on my habits. I had stopped depriving myself of sleep but then you know with summer vacations come long hours of gaming and one is bound to loose sleep when gaming. So yeeaaahh Im basically staying up till the time I think I want to make my daily Bed-time because I think I need to get my shit together and sleeping on the right time is one of the things I want to set right I feel sleep deprived and my head hurts from the coffee.

Theres also some anxiety in the back of my mind related to my university that Ive enrolled into(YEAH SON! Im going to Universidad) and all the formalities that I need to get done, latest by Monday but I know its gonna be alright so the feeling is there but its insignificant. So Id say I feel good(The sleep deprivation and anxiety remind me of Good OlDays).

I feel calm and happy and better than I have for the past couple of months.Ill throw in a motivational quote because I can. (I dont own this picture).

How should one prepare for a Google interview when he/she has programming experience in C language only?

You should learn Java or C. At Google, there's an assumption that if you're good enough to work at Google, you should be good enough to learn a new language quickly.

The candidate's choice of language on algorithmic questions is not very important. It's nice to program in a language that has good standard libraries, but for the purposes of an interview problem, you could in many situations get away with saying "I'm going to assume I have a library for a hash map whose interface looks like this", as long as you clearly communicate the interface to the interviewer. My real concern would be twofold.

First, it will be difficult for anyone to be convinced that you can write good object-oriented code if you don't demonstrate strong competency in at least one OO language. Second, the fact that you only have deep knowledge of one programming language is a bit of a red flag. It raises "does this person not like trying new things?

" and "this person must not have a lot of experience programming" concerns in my mind. I recommend you learn at least one of Java or C by building something. I often think that object-oriented languages are a good fit for games or simulations*, but you should pick something of real interest to you.

* Simula, the first OO language, was invented for creating agent-based simulations.

How do Native Americans feel about black people?

Colonial enslavement of Native Americans included those who surrendered, tooNot sure but l think most people don't know that early settlers shipped Indians as slaves to Caribbean settlements.

Indians was the accepted term for eons altho they knew it was a misnomer. Anyways, today in America, USA, we have digressed to the 60s and even worse. This racial divide has been dealt with and we've come a long way but all for nothing.

This very question is loaded. There are 672? Tribes in North America.

Can't lump them or even assume they all March to the same drum.Historically both or all got dealt a shitty shitty hand. I'm Cherokee so I believe Indiana got a worse deal.

Why? Moundbuilders, Mississippian Culture, Calusa Natchez Coosa and Paramount Chiefdomswho has even heard of them? And that's the tip of the iceberg.

Somewhere between 1090 million people, Indians, died from Pox in the 1500s. Conquistadors came in conquest but they didn't know that Natives had no immunity to their diseases.Slavery and conquest were accepted behavior back in the day.

Times were different. We're civilized now right? So I want to know my history and I am angry that American History swept my ancestors under the rug.

I'll go ahead and throw Jews under the bus. Their holocaust was a drop in the bucket compared to this one. This one that no one heard of or gives a rip.

We have a better life now than any time in history. At least we did last year. This new hate will not help anyone
