Displaced Persons of abc
Displaced Persons is a 1985 Australian TV movie about refugees arriving in Australia in 1945.
It was the first script written by Louis Nowra, who was inspired by a book he read about displaced people in Australia after World War Two. He wrote it in three days and sent it to the ABC who agreed to make it.
The movie was well received and Nowra went on to write a number of works for the ABC.

The 1970 ABC Under-18 Championship for Women was the maiden edition of the Asian Basketball Confederation (ABC)'s junior championship. The games were held at Seoul, South Korea from August 25September 2, 1970.
Only three nations participated; nevertheless, the hosts South Korea won the inaugural championship by sweeping all of their assignments, defeating Japan and Taiwan twice.

Citizen of Westminster is an early example of Australian television drama which aired on ABC. A one-off play set in England, it aired live on 8 October 1958 in Sydney, and kinescoped for showing in Melbourne on 30 November 1958. Australian TV drama was relatively rare at the time.

Early career of abc
Born in Launceston, Lane moved with his family to Devonport in 1963 and matriculated from Devonport High School in 1969. Lane then studied at the University of Tasmania in Hobart, where he resided at St. John Fisher College, but after failing first year found work at an Edgell factory before trying sports commentary.
Lane began his sports broadcasting career in 1972 and was employed by the ABC in 1973, commentating NTFA Australian rules football matches.

The 1990 ABC Under-18 Championship was the eleventh edition of the Asian Championship for Junior Men. The tournament took place in Nagoya, Japan from August to 2 September 1990.
Japan won their first-ever championship after breezing past Syria in the championship match, 82-63. Defending champions China, edged out the Philippines, 96-93 in the battle for third place.
The top three teams represented Asia to the 1991 FIBA Under-19 World Championships.

Boxing career of abc
Jones was a double English National Champion in 1994 and 1999 after winning the prestigious ABA light flyweight title, boxing out of the Sefton ABC and then Towerhill ABC.

She attended Newcastle University and studied teaching. She later returned and obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with Honours, in history.

Jo Clay (born 1977) is a member of parliament in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly representing the ACT Greens.
Clay grew up in Canberra and attended Radford College in Canberra. She then studied law before working in various companies focused on improving the environment, including setting up Send and Shred, a company that recycles shredded documents, and The Carbon Diet about reducing her carbon footprint.

Rodolfo Kuhn of abc
Rodolfo Kuhn (29 December 1934 3 January 1987) was an Argentine film director, screen writer and producer.
Kuhn was born in Buenos Aires.
He directed and wrote the script to the 1967 popular Brazilian film, El ABC del amor with Eduardo Coutinho near the beginning of his career. The film was entered into the 17th Berlin International Film Festival.
Kuhn was head of the jury at the 24th Berlin International Film Festival in 1974.
He died in Mexico.

ABC plan (also known as the Nimetz initiative) was a proposed settlement of the Cyprus dispute, presented by the USA but co-authored by Britain and Canada as well, hence the abbreviation ABC (American-British-Canadian). The settlement was proposed in 1979. It projected a loose federation between the Greek and Turkish community of Cyprus and it was based on previous agreements between Greek and Turkish Cypriot leaders, and UN resolutions. It was rejected by all sides.
