She is so young, and probably weaned prematurely from the cat mother, she is exhibiting suckling behavior...you are now her Mommy...she sounds happy...adult cats will knead their paws on their owner when the owner pets them too...I can make my two adult male cats knead their paws by singing to them or just talking sweetly to them, without touching them at all!

Enjoy your cat, they are such dear animals and how anyone can say cats are 'cold' in emotion is beyond me.

Do you plan on having kids?

I've planned on having kids since i was 13. I'm 21 and i don't have any but i still see them in my future. I already have my favorite names planned out. I'm recently single too so the guy i saw myself having kids too isn't going to happen, but i'm only 21 so i still have time yet!! I'd like 4, ideally 2 boys and 2 girls, but i guess i'll see! My puppy hates her crate.?

This is just my opinion. . .

I don't like to see any animals caged up, it's sad. I would freak out too if I were in a cage. I don't blame her for the way she's reacting to it. Maybe you can re-evaluate putting her in a cage. . .or maybe you don't have time for a puppy like you thought?

Like I said this is just my opinion, so please don't take offense. Maybe you can look at it from the puppy's perspective and try a different route so she's happy and content.

Exactly. The Bible never puts the blame on yourself, It would rather blame everyone else for the sin you did. They believe Jesus died for their sins, so they are passing what they did to him because they won't take responsibility for what they done wrong. Also the bible in the old testament teaches the sins of the fathers will be passed down to the sons and so on. Would it be right for example, that your friend robbed a store and you got put in prison instead of them when you wasn't even there with them?

I used to feel that way...evil...I thought. Day of the dead and the memories of kings torturing people in dungeons...Why do we do this.

Then it came to me whe I was explaining why we celebrate Halloween to some elementary school kids.

I told them it is a day to laugh at the things you are afraid of...a day to overcome fear and evil with laughter. Laugh at the things that frighten you and they will quit being evil.

Were any of you mother pretty wild before you had your baby, and once you had the baby you calmed down?

We've changed BUT we still like to get wild on the weekends (baby is gone of course). Our saying is "just because we have a baby doesn't mean we're dead".................

I stopped being REAL wild like at 21 and now we're both 30 with baby and are just "semi" wild LOL

(I say semi wild and I don't mean we go out and party, we like to be together, playing golf drinking, or just staying home, or wine tastings..THAT is semi wild to us :)

What are the best investments when it comes to outdoor play toddler toys?

My kids are 9 & 11, now and are still playing with the plastic playhouse that we bought them 7 years ago. Of course, now they can climb on top of it, too. And, they've moved it to a 'secret clubhouse' underneath the pine tree. I don't doubt that they'll still be using it in one way or another when they're teens.

My 9yo still loves sidewalk chalk. Every kid's probably different about things like that. If you think that your child might be interested in it, now, go ahead & get some (it's so inexpensive!), but supervise her while she plays with it.

well im not old enough too have kids but this happen to my ss teacher i feel bad but we both still think its funny. this is her story

From what you wrote, it variety of appears like she basically had to rejoice and you gave her that sturdy time. i might upload her to facebook, say which you had a good time along with her and point out which you wanna do it lower back while she gets lower back. Join your local Freecycle group. It's a listserv based in Yahoo Groups, with local chapters for cities/counties/regions. Instead of throwing out usable items, you post it, and someone will probably email you asking for it. In return you can also ask for items you need but don't want to buy (or monetary or packaging reasons). This reduces the amount of "garbage" that goes in landfills, and everything posted (and asked for) is FREE. Most groups are quite large so you will definately get a response for your items

Go with the Disney Princess theme. You could sell the Sponge bob stuff on Craigslist and find more princess stuff there. The thing about using a princess theme is its easy and little girls love it. It doesn't have to be high dollar Disney registered stuff either. There are alot of princess items available. You could build things to add to the theme. I made my Granddaughter a mirror from MDF board with a router that looked like a crown. Painted it pink and glued on glass jewels. Look online for free ideas and plans

Good with kids is the result of training the dog and teaching your children properly. If your younger siblings don't know how to treat dogs a small dog especially a PUPPY is not for you.

Is a Golden Retriver right for me?

Yes a golden retriever would suit you and your lifestyle. As the you want a loyal companion, that is trainable and playful which all of those personality traits are in the golden retriever. As long as you groom every other day as it is a long coated breed. As soon as you get the dog preferably a puppy or 1-2 year old dog train straight away and continue to train throughout the dogs lifetime just to make sure it will obey everytime. Make sure that when you train this breed don't just use a food reward use a favourite toy as well. Hope this helps and enjoy the lowly breed :).

do you tihnk that the whole idea of cats not getting along with dogs and vice versa is just a myth ?

I personally have never had a dog that didn't like cats or vice verse but I know there are some dogs that will tear cats apart on sight. Part of that is because their owners egg them on but there are some breeds that are bred to do it. I believe that all dogs with the proper training can be taught to leave them alone.

The cat box will smell if it isn't cleaned often and there are cat litters that contain deodorizers that help for a while. Clean it often and there is no problem.

Dog is tearing up backyard?

Two thirty minute walks a day is not enough for a dog her type and breed.

The first step would be to do a lot more aerobic exercise with her each day. Shes still hyper, ever think shes bored without the exercise she needs.

She might even be tearing up the garden etc. it because she knows she will get your attention, even if its negative attention, its still attention. Spend more time walking, training, and playing with her on your spair time.

Maybe even get a doggy sitter or a friend during the day to come and play with her and walk her.

You didn't mention how many hours you walk her, i hope your not replacing the backyard with walkies - if so then theres your answer. A play and run around in the yard is fine but it should be in addition to proper runs. She is a retriever so play retrieving games with her, really challenge her mentally and physically. Dont just put her back into her crate, buy some bitter apple anti-chew spray and make it impossible for her to chew anything that's not hers. Buy her toys and treats to keep her life exciting

whats a good breed of dog to have with a toddler?

When I was growing up, I had a golden retriever. I used to sit on that dog and almost jump on him all the time!! He was so patient with me, and when he had enough, he'd just walk away. he never tried to bit me or anything.

I see that people are mentioning smaller dogs, but the smaller dogs usually suffer with more anxiety and makes it harder to train and socialize them.

I personally would buy a golden retriever when i have a kid!!
