Here are some games that you can easliy play with your rodent: A game I loved to play was what I called Grab and Gather. I would take about ten tissues and lay them all over the couch, then put my pet on the couch and watch her go and get each piece and bring it to the corner of the couch. I would spread them out again and she would gather them all up again. Build a maze and let him try to find a special treat. Bob for Peas- This game is not just fun, but refreshing. Take a bag of frozen peas, and put a small handful (maybe 20 or so peas) in a small container of warm water. The water will thaw out the peas. Give the container to your rat(s), and they will go bobbing for peas. It's not only refreshing but they get a fresh treat. And, it's entertaining. Hide and Seek- If you are not a big fan of letting your rat run around on your bed, then you can alter it a little. What I like to do is put all three of my rats on my bed and just let them run in and out of hte sheets and pillows. They LOVE it. If you would prefer to leave your rats off the bed, you can set up a pinned in area, like a bath tub, and fill it with pillow cases and towels. Here is a great list of toys for your rat: Cat toys without cat nip. Ferrer toys. Cardboard boxes and tubes. Be cheap, they do not care. Instead of throwing away the toilet paper rolls, give it to the rats. Bird ropes and ladders. Tubes and tunnels. Hammocks. Dog ropes. Nylabones (avoid the Healthy Edible Nylabones) Branches (bird perches work well. Never get branches from outside) Wine Corks From, Lucy
1. My dad brought home a stray kitten?
Something that will distract her. Like cat toys
2. What are some good toys for rats?
Paper towel rolls, and Pringle cans are really good for them. Just make sure to cut the bottom of the Pringles can out hehe. They love those wood blocks, and cat toys. Egg cartons are a good chew toy for them. :p
3. How can I stop my cat from attacking my feet?
Do not use a spray bottle. It is pretty terrible to your cat and also accomplishes nothing, besides cause resentment over time between the two of you.Its pretty obviously play aggression being taken out on you because theyre not being played with. Get a couple types of cat toys. There are some with a stick and a string, some with feathers for air play and some with snake type toys at the end for chasing on the floor. I would not play with a laser pointer to get play agression out or energy out either. Laser pointers have uses, but it's more limited uses and you can get away with never needing to use them. As long as you say "no", you need to have something to give them to say "yes" to. Give them scratching posts and play with them before you feed them. Play with them until they are exhausted. You can also clicker train cats. Some cats are harder than others, but they are all trainable. you can go to a local trainer, even at a big box pet store that has a trainer, and they can show you how to clicker train. It helps immensely if you can get it right. And it is great for bonding with your kitty
4. i need information on taking care of cats.?
you will need to get cat toys and a litter box, litter, food bowl, water bowl, food, flea collar, and a cat bed
5. First time kitten owner after owning dogs since I was born, help?
You probably wo not like my opinion, but if you have little money, getting a kitten, especially two, should not happen. You already have two animals to care for; now think about when these cats get older and maybe have health problems, maybe all of your animals will have problems at the same time, or maybe your cats will develop allergies; I know a cat with allergies and it MUST eat grain free food... that's a lot of money to many average pet owners, probably 60 dollars a month on food. There's also spaying/neutering, a lot more money on top, and maybe micro chipping them. Some cats are more prone to issues like gingivitis and may need 500-1,000 dollars plus surgeries done (anesthesia is EXPENSIVE) when they are not even hitting their teen years. I would really consider this carefully. One of my cats was put to sleep when he was 3 because of crystals in the urine... you can not automatically assume your cats are going to be healthy into old age, it's the luck of the draw. I understand you wanting one, but you must also consider if it is best for them in your current financial situation as well as your current living situation; will you be living at home in 15 years? Will your living situation down the road be appropriate for the cats? Anyway, to answer your question... the cats will need food bowls (not plastic, stainless steel is best... plastic can cause acne on their chin!), a scratching post, hopefully a cat condo (one of those ones they can jump up high on - cats love jumping), cat toys (a bag of those little toy mice... or crumpled paper ball will do the trick), also, if you have one a large box on its side (maybe like a 18kg litter sized one)... cats love hiding in boxes! Some cats have territory issues with other cats, but this does not happen when they come from the same litter - still, consider that for every cat you may need a litter box.
