How are my headlights supposed to be oriented inside the housing? What type of bulb should we use for a fog light on my car? What is better, a fan or a heat sink? These are all questions for which we have not seen a single source provide answers for and that is what we are doing for you today. We want to provide you with some tips when upgrading your vehicles factory lamps to high performance LED lighting. Read more.Presence of fog on the road has been identified as a cause of accidents for drivers who miss the right lighting systems for their vehicle. There is need to have bright lights that are able to clear fog on the load and help the driver identify instances of a vehicle coming in the opposite direction. LED light helps deal with the fog on the road

Run A 3 watt LED chip off a 12v Source
Typically, you want to use a switching or buck based led driver for this. Or you can use multiple 5W resistors in series/parallel. These will be cheaper. Especially if you want to use a 12V supply. A linear or resistive solution would be dissipating 9.8V at 0.7 Amps = 6.86 Watts.A better solution is a 5V or USB supply. In this case, a cheap car usb charger would work best. It does the 12V to 5V with a switching regulator, and the rest can be done with a smaller resistor. 5 - 2. 2 = 2. 8V * 0. 7 = 1. 96W. A 2 or 2. 5 Watt 4 Ohm resistor will work. As mentioned 2. 2V * 0. 7A = 1. 54W, half of the supposed 3 watts btw.
Minimizing PCB size of a 192 RGB LED array
Maybe have a look at the popular WS2812b rgb driver? Adafruit makes an integrated driver/led package that is about 5x6mm. Ignoring thermal conditions, you could pack a 16x12 array of these into about 2.5x3 inches
LED hard-connected to battery - what is the purpose of this device?
It is the innards of a light up balloon that you can find at Walmart.Image from hereYou can see that the grey angled piece is part of a switch mechanism activated by a slide switch on the side. This is now distorted and partially on the upper half.
Do lighting manufacturers still practice planned obsolescence after almost all light bulbs use LED technology?
Thatu2019s an interesting question. Iu2019d love to be int he boardroom of a major manufacturing light maker (GE, Sylvania, Phillips) and hear what they plan in the future when they have finished replacing all the incandescent bulbs (how far away can that be now, probably 75u201390% of the heavily used incadescents have been replaced, either by cost conscious users or by simply burning out and being replaced with LEDs. The remaining 10u201320 % are going to be incandescents that are turned on a few hours a month or year (closets, attics, unused rooms, ordinarily well lit rooms) and may be years before they need replacement.Since in the last 5 years the majority of bulbs have been replaced with 10u201312 year bulbs (their claim) what are they going to sell for the next 5u201310 years?I have to think they think they are going to replace them with smart and internet-enabled bulbs, but even then they can only do that so many times. Do lighting manufacturers still practice planned obsolescence after almost all light bulbs use LED technology?
What happens when an LED is operated in reverse biased region of operation?
From electronics viewpoint, its the same case as with the usual diodes. Reverse bias can be ideally modelled as open circuit although practically there will be some leakage current. Someone with physics background might be able to help you with more accurate device physics.
Is John Bonham right when he said Karen Carpenter wouldn't last ten minutes drumming with Led Zeppelin?
Well known statement for sure. He must have been drunk when he said that. She was a very well trained and skilled percussionist. Just look her up on YouTube. Looks can be deceiving
Does Donald Trump listen to Led Zeppelin?
It seems to me he's non-musical. I will bet he does not like Led Zeppelin or any rock. I am sure he does not listen to recorded music of any kind for enjoyment. He hates going to things like the Kennedy Center Honors. He looks like a pouty 10 tear old who wants to tell Melania, "Mommy, I am bored. Can we go home now?"Music is a measure of one's humanity. Musical art is one of the most human things we do. People who love music love people. I've never seen it happen any differently. Music is such a human thing, you can not separate one from the other (like helpless immigrant mothers and their children). My personal guess is Trump is too much of a sociopath to like music. It does not move him emotionally in a way he enjoys. I will bet he finds most music irritating.EDIT: After reading the BBC article Mr. Johnston provided (Donald Trump's unexpected thoughts on music - revealed ), my conclusion is that it's like everything else out of Trump's mouth: lies and bullshit. He knows people expect one to like music or they think something's wrong with you (he's actually right about that). He seemed genuinely surprised by the power of music to effect him - not something music-lovers are surprised by. There's little affection for music in any of those quotes, mostly some names to be dropped in pursuit of credibility and possibly an opportune moment for yet more self-aggrandizement. FAIL. Yeah, he's no music-lover
If LED screens are made up of small RGB lights, how do they display white and black colors?
The human eye distinguishes color in three dimensions, or channels (basically u201cvariablesu201d)u2014every color we see is a combination of levels of those three variables. When the frequencies of light we see activate all three channels receive light at about equal intensity, we see it as white. When all three channels are not activated at all, we see black. So, since we see color in three dimensions, different combinations of red, green and blue lights can simulate almost all the colors we can see. As others have said, 100% R, B and G makes white. 0% R, G and B make black. And pink, just as an example, is made by (among other possibilities) 100% R, 42% G, and 71% B. (In truth, the values are between 0 and 255 for each primary because those are the values one byte can hold. I scaled them to percentages to simplify. In hexadecimal (base 16 numbering as opposed to our normal base 10, with A through F serving as the extra numerals after 0u20139), thatu2019s 0 to FF. So pink is (255, 105, 180) or #FF69B4. See #ff69b4 Color Hex Hot Pink).
What bands rip off another band obviously like Greta Van Fleet does Led Zeppelin?
The case can be made that most every garage rock band from the 60s were obvious rip-offs of contemporary British Invasion acts. The Standells ripped off The Rolling StonesThe Standells were an L.A. garage group from the 60s that cut through songs with proto-punkish raunch, not unlike The Stones. The Standells even covered a few Stones songs ("19th Nervous Breakdown" and "Paint It, Black"). Both groups had songs banned from radio stations in 1967 for their suggestive nature ("Let's Spend the Night Together" and "Try It"). Another similarity is that "Dirty Water", The Standells' biggest hit, was about the Boston Strangler, just like the later Stones track "Midnight Rambler". The Litter ripped off The Who and The YardbirdsThe Litter took The Who's formula of feedback-driven distortion to create their debut, aptly titled Distortions, in 1967. The Litter's biggest hit, "Action Woman", was perhaps even heavier than The Who's own "I Can See for Miles", but the real evidence comes in the form of The Litter's covers of The Who's "Substitute" and "A Legal Matter", as well as their performance of "I am A Man" (which The Who performed on their debut, My Generation, but it just as well may ). However, "I am A Man" was more famously performed by The Yardbirds, and Distortions also features a cover of "Rack My Mind", a Yardbirds original. Furthermore, The Litter's second album, $100 Fine, includes a cover of "Tallyman" by Jeff Beck, who was a guitarist for The Yardbirds
I loved the Led Zeppelin song "Stairway to Heaven." Are there other songs like this?
Two earlier songs that may have inspired Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and have even led to some plagiarism allegations against Zeppelin are "Taurus" by Spirit and "And She's Lonely" by The Chocolate Watch Band. I have links to both songs in my post for What was Led Zeppelin's inspiration before writing the song "Stairway To Heaven"?
What is Led Zeppelin's musical style?
They defy categorizationâ¦â¦..they grew out of the Yardbirdsâ¦..and that band began as blues shouters with eric clapton â¦who left the band because they slid into pop away from bluesâ¦â¦by the time jeff beck and jimmy page showed up they were doing many styles of musicâ¦bits of raga etc etc so that carried over into Led Zepâ¦â¦â¦.blues -rock-reggae -raga- folk-celtic-musical strains from the Arabic worldâ¦â¦virtually every style of musicâ¦..Define the musical genre of "Kashmir"?or "In the Light"?or use one word to describe all the tunes on Physical Graffiti?or any Zep album. ?eclectic?they have been pegged with heavy metalâ¦â¦.but really ,,,,,that is not them at allâ¦â¦they rock as hard as anyoneâ¦â¦..but can throw acoustic guitars with the best folkies. they cannot be labeled, really. imo.
need help with my LED tail light bulbs?
switch the led lights from side to side see if they work,if not put old 1157 bulbs back in if they do work with old bulb you may have gotten the wrong bulb.they have to be the proper relacment eqivelent.turn signals most of the time are a double fillament bulb. I have been wrenching most of my life and electrical is mysterious somtimes. good luck!
Are all LED lights are energy saver?
When compaired to other lights, yes, as they use less energy to light them. Where as, an ordinary 60 watt bulb draws 60 watts to operate, a typical led system with the same lumins of light output would only draw about 40 watts or so
Which is brighter for car tail light LEDs, SMD or traditional LED?
The LEDs with the better heat dissipation and higher current rating are usually the surface mount type, although I have read that through hole types are brighter in small to medium current capability. The 3 and 5 watt surface mount LEDs often come with 4 LEDs in one capsule, with one lens, and have a special thermal board ready to mount to an external heat sink. Luxeon stars can handle up to one amp of current, and can focus the light with optics to maximise brightness. But it would also be possible to use many traditional through hole LEDs to make up an equally bright light by using more leds to get the same amount of light. For example, 12â diameter red traffic signal lights often use through hole LEDs,and they replace a 75 watt incandescent lamp
