I totally agree the iPhone is a cool phone but the network (ATT) is very unreliable. What is the point of have a $500 phone but does not work half of the time. Hey, if Verizon carried the iPhone I would have the iPhone a since day one. My bro in law has the LG Dare, he's crazy about the phone and uses it for everything - music, youtube, camera, bill paying etc. LG Spyder's camera flash is a cool add-on and the metal body looks slick - only thing is it might be more prone to scratches than other phones. Guess that is what a phone case is for. Have you seen the Blackberry Storm? Now this is an awesome phone - Great features and it's on a reliable network (Verizon) I own a LG Voyager waiting for my upgrade date to come up. Hope this helps....
1. With the new Apple iPhone 3G coming out does this make my iPhone obsolete now? Software updates?
I agree with the 2nd person who answered. The only real reason to upgrade to the 3g iphone is because of the 3g speeds. But then again, I get my quicker wi-fi speeds because I have a wireless router in my house. Gps--not a problem, the old iphone still has triangular positioning and celular towers to give u directions. The new headphone jack?----not a problem, u should just use the headphones that came with the iphone. So that leaves one thing left----The iphone 3G's color, which is not a big deal. What is wrong with silver? Plus you will get all the satisfying features from the new 2.0 software update which will be free from apple in about 3 weeks.
2. Im confused? why should i buy? an apple iphone or ...?
iphone i have one it is better hands down
3. Apple iPhone? A good gift? Yes. No? Why?
DO NOT GET THE IPOD TOUCH. GET THE IPHONE. the iphone can do everything the ipod can do. even if they do not use it as a phone it still has a few major things the ipod touch doesnt hav. for one its mor durable and wont break as easily. two IT HAS A SPEAKER ON IT so u can play music out loud. and 3 if u do get a plan on it u can surf the web wherever u r as long as u hav a signal, while the ipod touch can only get internet through wifi hotspots
4. Is it too late to jump on the Apple IPhone stock bandwagon????
Who cares what Cramer says, or even I say for that matter. Look at the fundamentals and the charts and make your own decision. Fundamentals- sales growth-outstanding revenue growth-ditto debt/equity-fabulous 5 year earnings growth-supurb the last 4 quarters earnings growth over the previous 4-Q =very, very, good PEG for this year-great -PeG for next year-not so good Technicals -MACD-stochastics-negative -Price and Volume - negative -Money Flow - negative -Price increase last 6 weeks - up 25% = hard to sustain -AAPL down 5 today 6/13/07 when the market exploded up. In this case, I would have to agree with Cramer. Let the price come down to 110 (to the 50 day linear regression, 3-sigma line) or so before buying. ///
5. Dogfight! Apple iPhone vs Verizon Droid! Who will win?
Especially about the "nation's fastest 3G network" part. A fast network does you absolutely nothing if it's only in major cities, and sucks even where they do have coverage. Everyone knows that ATTs network = FAIL. Also, the part about the new one coming out- Apple is only now letting their software do things like multi-task and put folders on your home screen- (Because God forbid that anyone should put a FOLDER ON THEIR HOME SCREEN AND RUN MORE THAN 1 APP AT THE SAME TIME- ohhh nooo!!!!!) things that Android has been able to do since it came out. I would choose the Droid any day because on the iPhone: -cant take out the battery -no removable memory -no multitasking -only Apple-approved apps -cant customize your phone AT ALL -doesnt work with Windows -no Flash support -Droid has a better camera -Droid has a faster processor -instant Android OTA software updates -cant get service in an ATT store- have to find an Apple store -works on ATTs horrible network Android is already selling more phones than Apple, and its only been out for a year and a half. By the end of the year, the Market will have 100,000 apps, which is more than the Apple Store had at its 2-year mark. Android's open-source nature will always be more appealing to devs and phone manufacturers because they can market to every carrier, and dozens of phones, instead of 1 carrier and 1 phone. The possibilities are literally endless as far as Android is concerned, because ANYONE can make an app to do ANYTHING on the phone. With Apple, they have to approve every single app that goes into the Store. They wont even allow an app in if it says the word Android in it anywhere- how far do you really think they are gonna go with that kind of closed-minded thinking?? I want to decide what goes on my phone, not the other way around..
