Do not buy a toshiba. I had my computer for about a year and a half and then all of the sudden my power cord would not charge my laptop. I had my power cord checked out at Best Buy and they said it was fine. I sent my computer back to TOshiba four times and the problem is still not fixed even though my laptop is still under warranty. I have googled Toshiba problems before and have found numerous better business bureau cases that have resulted in nothing. My advice to you is to not buy a Toshiba laptop

I personally would just go through and reformat the computer... if you do not know how to do it yourself, find someone who does. VAIO's come with a ton of crap on them, and you are never going to get rid of it all with just add-remove programs.

Try disabling the touchscreen function, from what I am aware that takes fair amount of moxie. Also, does minecraft work well in single player (as in not on somebody's web server)? If it does that's most likely an internet connectivity issue

I would most definitely go with the laptop, the Sony Vaio. A laptop, especially a Sony Vaio, can do a lot more than an iPad. If you are a hardcore gamer, you will want a pc laptop. The macbook pro with similar specs to the pc can handle them just the same, but will cost you twice as much. Also not all the games are compatible with mac. I have a macbook pro but I am just a casual gamer, and since Steam came out for mac i occasionally play TF2, CS source, and boarderlands. But there are many games that do not have mac compatibility. Chances are that if you are a hardcore gamer and like to play the newest games, they will not come out with a mac version right off the bat. Also, VAIO's are not that great. If you want a powerful laptop to play games, I would go with one of ASUS' gaming line laptops.

I continuously get a sony vaio, the perfect one lasted me 5 years, it remains going lol..yet as a lot as date to a extra recent version and no complains. people ever love them or do not, that's all the way down to non-public decision.

Well I am running a Vaio E Series Laptop. Very nice design. I would talk about Sony being the highest quality PC Company, in fact, they are the highest quality in any electronic. TVs, Gaming Consoles, Music Players, Phones, etc. When you purchase the Sony, I think personally, you are paying more for the looks.. Where as it is made of Plastic, while it looks like it can compare to a Mac. Not the same materials... All of the Vaio's do include more than other's include standard. They start with a quick processor, a full numeric keypad, comfortable feel when typing, quiet operating, great speakers, LED monitor, a good amount of Hard Drive space, and then the fact that Vaio will last you much longer than any other Laptop on the market right now... I hope I helped a little, tell them some of these things, then go look at another laptop, tell them to compare that Vaio to any other Windows Based Computer, and disagree it is the best for your their money...
