5. How can I make store bought cupcakes without eggs?
Sorry dear, if you bought the cup cakes, you can not remove the eggs from them, no, even the americans can not do it, at least they could not the last time I checked. But if you are talking about making cupcakes from the box mix, then substitute eggs with egg substitute. I think most stores carry it, probably in the health foods/organic foods section. I know Whole Foods surely has it. It's a whitish powder, usually in a plastic bag or cardboard box. The one I use is called Red Mill brand Egg Replacer, The instructions to reconstitute are on the packaging. Lasts forever, I choose to store it in the freezer for I do not use it as often. Have fun

10. Are two kittens better than one?
First, thank you for thinking so responsibly before bringing kittens into your home. I wish there were more people like you. Yes, costs for routine care vary by location and vet. On average, the cost per kitten will be $300-$500 for the first year. This will include testing for common and life-threatening diseases and parasites, routine vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. Going forward, annual visits typically range between $60-$125. I know the price ranges seem large, but it really can vary this much depending on the vet and what area you are in. Many shelters and rescues offer discounted services based on your ability to pay (SPCA is great about this). Some even offer free services to those who cannot otherwise afford veterinary care. Call some of the groups in your area to get an idea as to what is available in your area. Some people believe that it's a bit much, but a good diet of premium food can make a huge difference in the long-term health of a cat. I recommend a grain free, high protien food such as Innova EVO or Wellness Core. They cost a little more but, as I've said, are very much worth it. In the long run, money will be saved in fewer vet trips when they are older. Kittens should have access to a wide variety of toys, but they do not all have to be store-bought. They will play with pretty much anything. A shoestring, plastic milk ring, cardboard box or wadded piece of paper can be as much fun for them as any toy that can be bought. The important thing is that they have something to play with. As for bedding, it's not absolutely necessary to provide any special type of pet bed. My cats have a couple of old sheepskin dog beds that they love laying around on. They've also inherited a couple of my daughters' old soft blankets. They will be happy as long as they have a place to snuggle. A mid-sized condo should be fine for two cats... there should not be a need for more than one. You can find them at fairly reasonable prices ($45-$75) at most pet supply stores. Good luck to you... and, again, thank you for being so thoughtful and responsible!
