Yesterday, Ben Thompson on his blog Stratechery shared his feelings on Apple Music, announced at WWDC on Monday, and on Apple's Focus. He makes a number of points with which my level of agreement sways in both directions. With this point in particular, I do generally agree:Moreover, it's not like this was the only example of Apple failing to question its assumptions and subsequently losing focus. Yesterday's demonstration of native Watch apps was very good, but in a very "Why does WatchKit even exist?" sort of way. When the Watch came out most reviews concluded that the Watch made a lot of sense in the long run, but few could get over just how poor the app experience was, with many concluding customers ought to wait.Imagine an alternate reality where the Watch had the exact same Watch face functionality (including complications), the exact same notifications and communications capabilities, the exact same performant Apple apps, the exact same unexpectedly strong battery life, but no apps beyond a promise they were "coming soon. " Surely reviewers would gripe, but with a "It's already great, and it's going to get better" sort of vibe. Yet Apple could not bring themselves to say "no".What do you think?

Setting an alarm using Siri on Apple Watch does not set an alarm on iPhone
Unfortunately, this is just how the Apple Watch handles alarms and timers. You can set an alarm or timer on your iPhone and get it on both your Apple Watch and iPhone, but an alarm or timer on the Apple Watch only goes off on the watch. If this is something you are interested in having added in future iOS releases, perhaps send some feedback to Apple via this form. No guarantees on effectiveness of these feedback forms, but it's certainly better than nothing
Does the Apple Watch have more processing power than a Cray 2 Supercomputer?
Thanks to the table on Experts Exchange, it would appear to be safe to say that the Apple Watch is more powerful than a Cray-2: Twice as fast, twice the memory.2 excerpts from that table well worth a look in its entirety:
Is the 42mm Apple Watch too big for a woman?
"Is the 42mm Apple Watch too big for a woman?"Only you can decide that. There isn't that much difference between the sizes. It depends on individual preferences - I know several women who wear the 42mm model because it's easier to read (especially the textual complications) and has slightly better battery life. But if someone has a petite wrist, then it might look too big.Apple and many of their retailers will have versions of both sizes you can try on.If you're ordering from the online store, remember you can exchange the 42mm for the smaller one at no cost within the return window if you feel it's too big. Given the general pessimism about wearables at CES 2015, are the expectations for the Apple Watch falling?
I can only answer that by pointing out that today, a man's watch is a fashion accessory and fashion (ego?) statement, maybe the only one men have. We do not wear much if any jewelry. Sorry y'all, but the Apple Watch is butt-ugly
Is the Apple Watch worth it?
In my honest opinion, no. Just use an iPhone if you like Apple. Lol
Why is my Apple Watch dying so fast?
There's no real way to know without having a look or asking some questions, but here are a few things you can check:Is cellular turned on?This is probably the biggest battery drain that could go missed. If it's a cellular watch, leave cellular turned off when you don't need it.Check the settings and your usage. Are you keeping the screen on for hours with the brightness turned up, or is walkie talkie being used constantly? Are you doing a whole lot of heart rate, ECG reading, or activity monitoring? Could you have been on speakerphone for a long call? What series is it and how old is it?A series 0 didn't have the battery life we are now accustomed to, and now they would be a few years old at least, so it wouldn't be surprising if it isn't making it through the day. On the other hand, if it's a series 3 or 4 or not too old, a battery not making it through a day or two would be out of the ordinary. Is it under warranty or does it have AppleCare? If it's under warranty, or if you have AppleCare, you can have it checked and repaired or replaced pretty easily. You can find out your watch's status by checking it from Apple ID or by entering the serial number at Check Your Service and Support CoverageHope any of this this helps, if you have any more info or find out what it is, let us know in comments! Why is my Apple Watch dying so fast? Why is my Apple iWatch dying so fast?.
How did Apple bungle the Apple Watch launch?
This seems so reading the articles. There are a big number of people who write articles, post comments and are motivated by other brands against Apple. They hate this position that Apple wins ground (wins the profitability part of the pie) at most of the areas they touch. You should not believe the headlines or articles without looking around. If I were a company I would also hate Apple's success and I would try to act against it. Having similar headlines is just a chapter of the sales war.
Why did Apple announce the Apple Watch now when it is only releasing it in early 2015?
Plus a lot of the functionality of the device will come from the imagination of third-party developers. To get that software in place upon release, the developers need a few months to figure out this brand-new OS and UI.Once developers have this in their hands, leaks will happen. So better that Apple announce it ahead of time in a controlled manner, whetting everyone's appetite, while jump-starting the software development effort now
Why hasn't Apple made a cheaper MacBook in the vein of the iPhone SE or $330 iPad? Also, why don't they continue to sell last-year's MacBook at a cheaper price, like they do with iPhone and Apple Watch?
That's not how you maintain a stock price of 1.5 trillion. They maintain a prestige brand there's no room for bargains. Everything is soldered into machine so there's no buying a cheap machine and upping ram and storage yourself. These are not the strategies of a benevolent company
Does the Apple Watch need an iPhone to be on the latest iOS to pair?
I had the identical issue today. Updating my phone to iOS 11.3 resolved the issue

How to light a product like the Apple Watch?
If you are interested in this sort of photography, get yourself a copy of the book "Light: Science and Magic". It deals with complex lighting situations but for this, you need to deal with the seemless white background, the apparent lack of support, releflection control and you will need multiple lights at various distances, reflectors and anti-reflectors, diffusers and gobos ('go-betweens' - usually black card that 'go between' a light and the subject to prevent unwanted reflections).
Would you use an iOS Apple Watch app for monitoring your tennis performances and games?
I am sure that such an app will come and I am sure it will be a succes. It would be an app that people would like to try. The market will be big enough eventually because. .. there are a lot of people on this planet
What would it take for Google Glass to be a viable competitor to the Apple Watch?
It is basically impossible for Google Glass to be a viable competitor to the Apple Watch.First, they compete in different spaces. Sure, they are both wearables, but they are not both smartwatches. The Apple Watch is a smartwatch, while Google Glass is a pair of smart glasses, hence the name of both of them. To be a viable competitor (especially in tech), it means that they kind of have to be in an either/or scenario for both products. You can not have Google Glass and an Apple Watch. Right now, there is no reasoning for why you cannot, except for that it does not go with your ecosystem. So, the only way that this would work would be if Google Glass only worked with Android or had distinct characteristics that only worked with Android. This is not how the original iterations of Google Glass worked and even if it did, it would really be a deterrent to having both and still does not make them competitors. So, now that we got out of the way that both of them are not the same product and really do not compete in the same space, we have to look at which of them are current products and if they are actually viable for use in the consumer space. The Apple Watch is a current product. It is still being manufactured and developed by Apple. As with all of Apple's products, it is made for the consumer and looks mostly like an ordinary watch. It really does not compromise the look of the user who is wearing it. Google Glass is currently not being sold and it is unclear if it is still in development. The first Google Glass was a real flop. It looked weird and did not blend in with the user's style. It had very little utility. All of these things must be improved upon if it is to compete with the Apple Watch in the consumer space, where most of the money for wearables is. I could see a new version of Google Glass possibly competing with the Microsoft HoloLens as they are both eyewear. Google Glass would still have to improve a lot to be viable for consumers, but it would be a better competitor to the HoloLens then to the Apple Watch. Google Glass and the Apple Watch are just too different to really be able to be competitors. Android Wear is a much more viable competitor to the Apple Watch, as they are both smartwatches and provide roughly the same utility on different operating systems (much like iOS vs Android), than Google Glass does. Google Glass is still a good product (especially if improved) and could really fit in well with a user's daily life, but if Google wants to compete with the Apple Watch, then they need to invest in Android Wear as it is actually a viable competitor to the Apple Watch, unlike Google Glass. What would it take for Google Glass to be a viable competitor to the Apple Watch?.
Can Apple watch warn me when my iphone is out of range
I have not found an app that does this yet either. Your best bet would be to wait for the upgrade to watchOS 2.This should enable developers to add more functionality to their apps, including the function you are in need of.
Should I buy the new Apple Watch if I have the Series 3?
If you need the new features of the latest Apple Watch, yes. If your current Apple Watch meets all your needs, then no. Don't upgrade just to upgrade. Have a reason for it.I will use myself as an example.I had the original Apple Watch. The Series 1, 2, and 3 watches did not add any features that I needed, so I did not buy them. I purchased a Series 4 Apple Watch, because it had LTE and added fall detection. One time while I was walking my dog, he jerked hard on the leash, pulling me down on the ground. I was surprised that I needed help to get up. That's the first and only time that has happened, but to be safe, I bought the Series 4.The Series 5 watch added some wonderful features, but I didn't need them, so I did not buy a new watch. However, when they come out with an Apple Watch that measures blood pressure, I might upgrade, with emphasis on "might. "Should I buy the new Apple Watch if I have the Series 3?
