Pillows Don't Sleep but Arms Do

-As my mind glazed over thoughts about my hand, and,the zombie-quality of workI'd perform in a handful of hours,On the early shift.-But my mind was not tired.No fatigue felt my heart.And I wouldn't be a solid pillow,If I woke her up!NOTES:(This was the result of a prompt that I came across on Instagram by @silverleafpoetry several weeks ago. The idea was to write a poem including the words pillow, forehead, and lights.

I thought it was fairly obvious to be just lying in bed with someone so I tried to change it up a little.The picture is the various drafts that this poem went through before I decided on the abbreviated end result.)
