They look awesome, and have a wonderful mahogany red coat, but it dose need a bit of looking after, especially if you find a show line (field lines have a shorter coat generally speaking)
They have endless outdoor energy, and love fetch, as a field dog they were expected to retrieve game, but they are quite content to lay around the house.
They are medium sized dogs, a little larger then your common lad or golden, and have absolutely amazing personalities.
They are most friendly breed of dog i have ever owned.
And contrary to popular belief, they are quite smart and easy to train because they love to please.

Animal Kingdom and Universal Studios or Disney's Hollywood Studios for my 7 year old (almost 8)?
Does you 7 year old going on 8 tend to be afraid of things. Universal has a lot of intense rides. If he is not afraid of intense rides then go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. You are the only one who understands his fear factor.
Disney is designed for people afraid of intense rides. You can skip those and still have fun. A 7 or 8 year old will have more fun at Magic Kingdom. When my oldest daughter was 8, she would ride anything but had a phobia to things with fire. She did not enjoy the backlot tour or the great movie ride. But I think Disney Hollywood Studios is better than Universal Studios. Just my personal opinion.

3 yr old with MAJOR problems???
It could be the terrible twos...which sounds really bad. What you should do is give him little spankings so he knows better than to do the thing he did wrong. If this doesn't work, you may have to wait. He may just be hyperactive and doesn't know how to express his adreneline rush. Try taking him out more and letting him just run around and have fun. If this still doesn't work, you'll just have to wait until this phase is over. When he comes from it and realizes he has no more toys. Don't buy anymore for him until he cleans up his behavior. Hope this helps

cutest, friendliest child in the WORLD...modeling pictures?
All mothers hear how beautiful their children are, especially when they are babies and toddlers. You might be just a teeny bit biased about your son. Take lots of pictures and pick out the cutest few and send them in. Just don't be terribly disappointed if your son doesn't get a contract. You have to remember child modeling agencies get thousands of pictures a year and there is a limited demand for child models.
Love your son for the beautiful child he is and let him be a child. If he wants to be a model when he is older you can help him pursue it further. Personally, I think toddlers shouldn't be put to work.
Good luck, proud mama!!

Im worried about my 2 yr old son whos birthdays in feb.. do you think he's autistic?!?
honestly, I think he's fine. He's just a little behind speech wise, is all. My son wasn't talking really at all until about a month ago and he took off from there, and he's 2 and 1/2. Maybe your son will do the same? As far as the tantrums, he's just frustrated because he's not getting his way, and is too little to be able to express himself other that throwing a fit, especially since he can't really talk well. My son's tantrums have improved as well since he started talking more. Lots of luck to you. If you're still concerned, you could probably take him to be checked out at a normal dr appt, or you could google online autism test. LUCK!

Tips for caring for my yellow lab puppy.?
He's lonely - dogs are pack animals, particularly labs and particularly puppies. I have a lab and when I was reading up before getting him the book said 'Labradors are not outdoor dogs.' and had a picture of a sad looking lab looking through a window. Can he not live in the house with you?

If it is not possible for him to live in the house you would be far kinder to find him another home where he can live with his family as soon as possible while he is still young.

About to potty train my 2 year old, any suggestions?
teach him to sit on the potty first, you could get a little potty that he will be able to open and sit on by himself and also get a potty ring that goes on the toilet along with a step stool, he may prefer the floor potty or the toilet ring. getting him undies that he can pick out might help, i have a two year old daughter and she gets up every morning and chooses which undies she wants to wear that day. when he gets to the point of standing and peeing let him go out in the yard i heard that this gets them in the routine of standing since he wouldn't be able to sit and pee. but most importantly be patient!.

my 2yr old has a meltdown in social situation's?
If you are a natural person you should try cognitive behavioral therapy. It was the only thing that has helped me with my horrible health anxiety. Read here https://tr.im/4PGQb
Your thinking determines your quality of life. Your thinking is what causes you these feelings:
Anxious, fearful, stressed or depressed
Constantly worried, or angry about something that is happening in your life
Struggling to overcome obsessive and negative thoughts.
If you change your thinking, you will change your life. This is the basic idea behind CBT for anxiety. The Cognitive part is where you learn nee methods and ways to change your same old habits and thinking patterns. If you keep thinking and expecting the worst You will continue to suffer.

normal 4 yr old behavior?
I have a 4 year old too. Mine does that when he's bored or needs his mind engaged in something educational. She's probably doing it because she's curious - that's the stuff mommy uses and she's not allowed - there must be something "special" about it.
Try teaching her what all that stuff is for, letting her use what she possibly can with your supervision, and explain why some of it is dangerous for her to use.
Then, to keep your sanity, put it all up on a high shelf where she can't get to it.
It's totally normal 4 year old behavior. They are curious and interested.

I am getting a dog?SUGGESTIONS!!!?
huskies are escapes artists, make sure he won't be able to get off that deck. My friend has a huskie and no matter how secure their yard is, the dog will find a way out either over or under. the gate is higher than 5ft and he has no problem jumping over it. huskies are fairly high energy and as they age may decrease somewhat. when u go to the shelter, ask for suggestions on a lower energy dog that u know won't try to escape, of course that doesn't mean u can't run with it. Our dog is low energy - loves to sleep - but he'll do a 4 mile hike no problem.

What do One year olds like?
My son is one, he likes balls, stuffed animals (make sure the are the ones that have the sewn eyes and not the beaded ones) blocks, toys that light up and make noises, toys that crinkle... he likes soo many toys, lol. If you look online at babies r us, toys r us, walmart (really any store that cares children toys) then they will say the recommended age and you can pick by that. One year olds are not picky.
Any book that is short and made of cardboard is good because they like ripping the pages off regular books. Bright colors in the pictures are good also.
Any cartoon is good... My son right now really likes Monsters vs aliens, but he barely pays attention to movies and t.v. anyways.

is it ok to leave a rat outside for a few hours in hot weather?
Please never put your rat in the sun, she will get heatstroke. Set side at least one hour every day to allow her to run around your room this way you wont feel so bad being outside whilst she is in her cage. The best time for a run around is either in the early morning or early evening(when they are most active) . In the meantime you can 1. get her a companion ( rats are social animals and are best kept in pairs http://www.ratanooga.za.net/RNGuide_TextOnly.pdf and http://www.ratanooga.za.net/care_intros.asp ). 2. Put some toys in her box.

My 8 1/2 week Lab/Rott pup is vicious?
With a Lab/Rott mix you will have a better chance of hurting your kids. This will be a bigger dog and although it is just playing around. YOu need to let him know it isn't going to be tolerated. I have heard before to yelp when they do this they will think they hurt you and stop. It never worked with me. I just kept on giving it other things to chew on. Find something he likes Like a Long or something. Hes not vicious he's just a puppy. Mine also lunged at me face many times. While you are training your puppy do not leave him unattended with your children. Chances are they will get hurt because of rough playing

Mini Trampoline for 2 1/2 year old? Anyone use one?
Yes, a trampoline is a great idea for a active toddler. I think the one with the bar would be the best if you are looking into a mini trampoline for inside. My oldest had a small one when she about 3. We then upgraded to an 8 foot outside trampoline at 5 years.
We now have a 13 ft. large trampoline with a net outside for my now 8 year old and my 20 month old jumps too. I absolutly don't think I could live without a trampoline in our backyard. The kids need to burn off all that energy. I know my kids would be bouncing off the walls, couch and beds if they didn't have an outlet for all that energy. What great excercise too.
