If you have tried and she is really insistant, I would just say thanks and take them straight to goodwill
1. I have a 4 yr old and a 18mth old , is it normal for the 4 yr old to want to play with the baby toys?
yes of course it is normal the older kid is just curious
2. What are the best baby toys (for ages 1-2 years old)?
My girls love pretend play toys like kitchens, vacuums, baby dolls. Anything that makes them feel like they are doing what mommy does. they like ride ons too. My 2 year old loves to draw and the aquadoodles and other drawing supplies that do not get on walls and clothes are awesome for that age.
3. Baby Toys . . .?
go to wal mart and look for these toys my sisters kids loved them. Vtech - Winnie the Pooh Call 'N Learn Phone Fisher-Price Baby's First Blocks
4. How can I disinfect soft baby toys that play music?
The daycare that I worked at used to use a small amount of bleach mixed in water but it was making all the soft toys like the soft blocks fade... so they started buying the Clorox everywhere spray and it stopped dying them and its supposed to be real gentle and non toxic to kids and animal... I use it on my boys toys too :) Just set the toys out in a row and spray away. .. of course do it after she falls asleep so they will have all night to dry. I wouldnt use the Lysol spray cause I used that for a little bit and every time my son would chew on his toy he would make a funny face so I smelled it thinking that something might be on it and it had a STRONG Lysol smell then when I tasted it you can taste the Lysol like its just coated on the toy! yuck! So I would say the Clorox everywhere spray would be best :)
5. Disinfecting baby toys with clorox?
10 drops clorox to a gallon of water. My microbiology teacher says so
6. Using Baby Toys For Puppies?
Yes, as long as he's supervised. BTW (by the way), your dog is really cute!!!
7. Do The Baby Toys Need To Be Cleaned First?
I always did... heck I still do w/ my 4 yr old. It depends on the toy... some hard ones can be put in the dishwasher, others that have little holes in them I would just use a wet rag dipped in a bleach solution, when the proper bleach solution is dry, it is totally non-toxic. 1/4 teaspoon of bleach for 1 quart of water stuffed, plush toys can either be put in the dryer for an hour on highest heat setting - this not only bangs the dust out, but can kill any dust mites or other germs that may be living on them. these toys can also go into the freezer overnight, it does not bang the dust out but does kill any germs. I still do this stuff w/ my daughter's toys, especially the stuffed animals... she loves to sleep with them so I usually put them in the dryer with her linens for an hour or two on Saturdays. and if she's sick, I do it every other day and put her pillow in the dryer too!! and I do not have a tendency to over clean... my house is fairly messy - it looks like I live her with my child and that I babysit a couple of other kids...lol... but I think this is the same as doing the dishes - they put those little linking rings and rattles in their mouth, so they should be cleaned regularly just like their spoon should. I would not go crazy doing it, but a quick wipe w/ a damp bleach solution cloth will only take about 5-10 minutes per week.
8. What are the best baby toys for a 6month old? That can entertain her for more then 10min.?
you are probably right about sticking with teething toys, because I can not imagine a 6 month old giving ANYTHING attention for 10 minutes! the only thing I can suggest is to get an exci-saucer or walker that has toys attached to it (& musical things that light up!). I also have 3 kids, a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a 6 month old. None of my children could keep attention that long on anything besides eating or watching their siblings play & make noise! good luck!.
