You would find tons of articles saying why Apple Music is better than Spotify, and why Spotify is superior than Apple Music. In my mind, both Apple Music and Spotify are fantastic music streaming apps.Apple Music offers 3-month free trial. Just take a try.Spotify premium costs $9.99/month.It is a great deal to try Apple Music free and subscribe Spotify premium for a month first. After trying by yourself, you would find the one that fits you better. And you only pay $9.99. Your own experience is more real, and follow your heart to choose the one you prefer
1. Can you trick Apple Music/iCloud Music Library by labeling music files as audiobooks?
Finally got around to trying it, and it works. Once I would marked enough files as "Audiobook" to get the remaining music files under 25k, Apple synced the remaining files with no problem. This seems like a much easier solution than the "two libraries" solution that other people are recommending. ..although it would make actual audiobooks more of a pain to deal with for people who use audiobooks
2. What's better, Apple Music or Spotify?
From some of the initial reactions I've been seeing, Apple Music > Spotify
3. What would be a good use of Apple Music's 4 months for free promotion, found on Groupon & Living Social, for someone who is in the Android ecosystem?
Question: Since Apple Music is available for Android, a good use would be to use it to subscribe to Apple Music. From Apple's website: Join Apple Music on AndroidApple Music app on Google Play store: Apple Music - Apps on Google Play
4. Do artists get paid when their songs are played on music-streaming services like Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, etc.?
Thanks for the A2A.It depends on the arrangement they have with their label (if they have one). If there is no label in the picture and the artists retain the master recording rights, then yes they do.In the case of signed artists, it depends on whether their contract hands over the master rights in entirety to the label or not. If so, then the artists do not get paid directly, but will be paid eventually by the label so long as they recoup what they call 'bona fide' costs including marketing etc.In the UK, at least, streaming services are somewhat unusual in that whereas when a song is played on radio, TV etc, the artist will usually be entitled to 'performance royalties' which are collected and distributed by an organisation called PPL. This is not the case for streaming plays. The situation is entirely different if the artist in question is also a credited writer on the song with publishing rights, in which case they are indeed entitled to publishing royalties (in the UK, collected by PRS) before and independent of any expenses recoupable by the label. Producers often also hold a percentage of publishing rights so they too are paid for plays. All of this is somewhat moot in the grand scheme of things, though, because the amount paid out by services like Spotify per play is minuscule: we are talking fractions of a penny. To earn 10k from streaming, an artist would have to be the sole right holder of the master recording, sole songwriter, not liable to publishing splits with a publisher (generally 50%) and would need somewhere in the region of 3 million plays
5. Is it possible to get digital audio output from a MacBook Air (2011), like on other Macs?
Have connected using usb A-B and Macbook air 2012. Now sound. What player are you using in the Mac. I used iTunes/Apple music
6. Why do people still buy iPhones?
It isn t a matter of hardware, it is a matter of software. I had an iphone until last year, when I got a Note 4, and although the hardware is far superior to that of an iPhone, the real difference is that Androids aren t made by Apple. Apple product have software that Androids don t and never can. iPhones have iTunes, iMessage, facetime, iOs, and some others which are much easier to use for less hardcore consumers, especially when pretty much everyone else has them. It s hard for me to take part in group chats when all of my friends have iPhones. I cant listen to Views without Apple Music (not that I want to). iPhons software is better, Android hardware is better
