The area is alsodfrac12bcsin ABy the cosine law, a^2=b^2c^2- 2bccos A, so the left-hand side can be rewritten as -2bccos A2bc and we obtain the equality2(1-cos A)=dfrac12sin ANow note thattandfracA2=dfrac1-cos Asin A=dfrac14Thentan A=dfrac2tan(A/2)1-tan^2(A/2)=dfrac1/21- 1/16=dfrac815 a^2 - (b - c) ^2, where a, b, and c are the sides of triangle ABC, as usual. What is tan A?

2. The abc-conjecture as an inequality for inner-products?
The matrix $L_n$ is positive definite.Proof. The matrix $G_n$ with entries $
m gcd(a,b)$ is positive definite because of $G=D^TPhi D$ where $Phi=
m diag(phi(1),ldots,phi(n))$ ($phi$ the Euler's totient function) and $d_ij=1$ if $i|j$ and $0$ otherwise. Then the matrix $H_n$ with entries $frac1ab$ is positive definite because $$h_ij=int_0^1 x^ij-1dx$$ and the matrix with entries $x^ij-1$ is positive semi-definite for $x>0$. Finally $L_n=G_ncirc H_n$ (Hadamard product) is positive definite.

8. What type of placements do lawyers get after doing an MBA from a top B-school like IIM ABC?
Consulting firm focus more on diversity (of background) than most other professions. And that makes a lawyer with a well-rounded CV a hot property for consulting firms. One of my lawyer friends got into McKinsey and I know the same for a junior as well. Apart from consulting, there's hardly any job which has a strong preference for a diversity in background, and then, all diverse profiles are more or less treated at par with the rest of the batch, and judged based on CV. Some of the other lawyers I know are scattered across FMCG and General Management. The same holds true for other diverse profiles as well - doctors, etc.
