Using the positioning library to place the nodes and some styles, your code can be simplified:For the other structure, here's an option using forest (the picture was too blurry, so I had to guess the desired aspect):
1. What advantages do plants take over the production of seeds? Are there any disadvantages?
Each plant oil has distinct advantages and disadvantages for particular uses. Some oils are very thin and good for watches and similar precision mechanical devices. Cottonseed oil can withstand very high temperatures without burning. Olive oil contains chemicals that are helpful to our bodies. Fish oil, (ok that's not a plant), has unique lubricating and protective properties, as do other oils. ( BTW, Fish oil is the main ingredient in WD-40. ) Each oil has it's own uses. Some plant oils control insects without harming people or animals. (One bed bug killer uses sap from the cedar tree.) Would you consider tree sap as a "plant oil"?).
2. Code Golf: Directory Tree -> Tree
Here is a slightly ungolfed version:Please notice that since -- per instructions -- D is assumed to be a predefined variable, the code does not build without somehow supplying D. Here is one way to build:
3. Would using wood dowels to attach lumber to a tree for tree house be better for the health of the tree?
In perspective of the tree. You are putting holes in it just be considerate of how many you insert. You would be better off using galvanized nails as you would need less of them to get the same strength as you would using dowels. In perspective of the kids. Being exposed to weather, dowels will eventually give way. I would not do it.
4. Lice & Tea Tree Oil?
Eat darkish hemp as an alternative to light
5. What type of tree is this? (picture)?
looks like a species of conifer
6. Will my banana tree spread?
If you got them at Walmart then they are almost certainly either dwarf or superdwarf Cavendish bananas. It's an easy to grow, commercially available banana. They grow great in pots, getting from 3 to 8 feet tall depending on which one you have. It's normal for them to have the reddish blotching, and is common to many banana species. If you plant them in large pots they will get big, and send out shoots from the bottom called "pups", which are baby bananas. They can outgrow their pots and break them, but it takes a while. If planted outside in somewhere like Florida or south Texas they can become a problem due to extensive root systems that break pipes and foundations. They will only get out of control if you allow them to, overall banana can be very well behaved. They like high light, lots of water, and lots of food. Have fun, bananas are great plants!
7. if a tree falls in the woods?
I think it does! Lol a subsitute asked us the same question last year. It confused all of us :P But I say yes...what do you think? :)
8. HELP! Strange Animal in tree!!!?
It's likely a Cicada. They are very pesky, large, noisy bugs. Here I see them cling together some times and take pictures because I think I've found some super insect,.. then they part ways and I find out they've just fooled me again. They are most likely to appear in places where Japanese imports have gone. Since Cali is very international, it's prone to bugs, pest, and animal showing up there that are not native. The terrorfyingly noisey creatures end up every where easily and make so many different annoying noises, it's tricky to figure out it's a Cicada off the batt. They've been spreading all over the US mostly unnoticed,.. but people get absolutely terrorfied by their horrid sounds, snap pictures, and learn about them. There are some other annoying insects like that. June Bugs are startleing,.. they appear sweet,.. but they can hurt you badly and children become so paniced they will make up any story to get people to get rid of them. Once June Bugs move in,.. it seems like the next March-June is a swarm of them.. then they might disappear for a couple years. They also end up everywhere they should not be. Cicada and June Bugs are good clingers. You simply should stay away from things that buzz very loudly. It's easier then meeting them in person. Once they hurt you, you are enemies with them for life. This will seem like a mild curiosity after that. If it hangs around for a few days, get some pest control (humans). Better safe then sorry.
