Generally speaking, terrible look at the stupid way she initiated article 50, her red lines, her appalling lack of sympathy for those who died at Grenfell, the number of ministers who left her cabinet and much more besides. WRT to Brexit however, once she had laid down her red lines, I dont think anyone could have done any better because of what is perceived as EU intransigence.Of course, it isnt really intransigence on the part of the EU, they are simply protecting their members interests but Brexiters wont be able to see that.

When the plane takes off, why doesn't the tail hit the runway?
Some of the answers indicating that this does not happen because of aircraft design, speed, take-off/landing angles are simply wrong. This does happen as evidenced by photographs.
In fact, it happens so often that there is even a term "Tailstrike" and a Wikipedia entry for this. TailstrikeObviously, this is rare because of pilot training. One of the most famous cases involves the biggest air disaster of all time - the 1977 collision in Tenerife that killed 583 people.
KLM 4805 - in a desperate measure to avoid PANAM 1736 - took off at such a steep angle that it left a 70-ft gash on the concrete runway.

What are some rarely known stories about Adolf Hitler?
Captain Georg von Trapp and his wife, Maria, were once close enough to Hitler to touch him.
Hitler came to Salzburg after Germany annexed Austria. He and a party of SS men had lunch in an outdoor cafe while the Trapps were at a nearby table. Hitler never looked their way and had no idea who they were, which was fortunate because contrary to what's depicted in The Sound of Music, that was the same day the Captain received a letter (not a telegram) asking him to assume command of a submarine in the Navy of the Third Reich

British Monarchy: Can British Queen dissolve the UK Parliament?
Can the Queen dissolve the Parliament? No.Until 2011, the Queen did have the Royal Prerogative power to dissolve Parliament - a power which she exercised on the advice of the Prime Minister.
However, the Fixed Term Parliament 2011 specified that, going forward, Parliament could only be dissolved in three ways:At the end of its 5 year termif the House of Commons voted by 2/3 to hold an early general electionif the government lost a Vote of No Confidence, and no follow-up Vote of Confidence was held within 14 daysAs such, the Queen, and by extension the Prime Minister, lost the power to dissolve Parliament at will

Has President Trump performed better than President Obama thus far?
At least he hasnt started any nuclear wars yet. After all, Obama did de facto launch an unprovoked nuclear strike on Russia.
Ukraine was under Russias nuclear shield. He overthrew a democratically elected government with a false flag shooting that killed 100 protesters and cops. He then blew through 3 ceasefires that the Russians had negotiated with Michael Flynn to provoke a war that killed 20,000 people on Russias border.
How is that any different than Russia throwing a coup in Germany and provoking a war that killed 20,000 Americans? And the Democrats wonder why Russia is so pissed at them.

In ancient warfare did belligerents make true or false guarantees for the safety of the civilians of an enemy populace, so they would be less determined to win and more willing to accept defeat?
The Romans killed and enslaved resisters repeatedly, all the way to genocide levels. It wasnt in their interest to slaughter all civilians otherwise since they wanted the farm produce that the labor would provide. It isnt always reported when killings were necessary to take land that the Romans were to give to their retiring soldiers.
The Mongols likewise threatened and carried out mass death to resisters and failed to kill everyone when cities surrendered.I think military historians generally think there was rape and looting on a routine basis in most wars, surrender or not

What is the best light source to pre-charge a solar cell rechargeable battery device indoors? Is it incandescent, fluorescent, or LED?
The answer is yes, artificial lights such as incandescent bulbs can be used to charge solar cells, provided the light is strong enough. But it will not be nearly as efficient as charging the cell in direct sunlight. 7.
Switch off and leave to charge for 72 hours. Many solar powered lights will still charge if they are not turned on, and by turning them off you actually allow the battery to get a full charge over several days of sunlight. It is an idea to do this regularly with solar lights.
Go to my Profile and you can find all about Solar Cell material there.

Is Malala Yousafzai overrated, i.e.
, does she deserve the Nobel, does she deserve as much media attention as she receives, et cetera?
Yes she is. Apart from speaking against Taliban, she does not have any contributions.
If she is so convinced , fearless and determined why can't she go to Pakistan and continue her work? After all she came to Britain for medical needs. She was prematurely given Nobel peace price.
It is easy to preach things sitting in Britain. Why dont she go back and do something in gound? Sorry but we need leaders who have courage to face evil and look in devils eye , like Ghandhi did.
So I am not the fan of Malala. Sorry I can't be politically correct!

How do the filaments of incandescent light bulbs heat to the point of incandescence nearly instantly?
Instant is a relative term. I think it takes several tens of milliseconds, if we measured it with a fast photodiode. Whereas LED signal diodes can reach 100% brightness in a few nanoseconds or better times.
The filament heating times may seem fast to you to get to 3000 K temperature compared to how long it takes to make a pot of boiling water at 373 K. But, you see, the mass of the filament is exceedingly small so it doesnu2019t take long to raise that to a high temperature, especially since its in an evacuated or gas filled glass bulb and well insulated and loses relatively little heat to conduction

Is Donald Trump a good president?
No, but in his defense, he is the least bellicose president in a generation; he seems genuinely reluctant to put our fighting men and women in harm's way.
He has ended forever the trope Let's elect a businessman! He'll run the country like a business! Sorry, Herman Cain.
And, potentially, he may serve the same role for the Republicans Jimmy Carter does for the Democrats: an example of what not to do as president. None of this detracts from his role as the worst President and possibly the worst person to serve as President in the history of the United States, however

What is the relationship between the Gupta dynasty and the Mauryan dynasty?
Only by conscious emulation by the Gupta kings. The name Gupta is one of the 1008 names of Lord Vishnu, and Chandraguptas impact led to many Indian princes adopting the name for themselves or their children. Their ultimate origin is debatable-the two main lines of thinking is from either Vaisha merchants or Brahmins.
The name is a coincidence, like Helvius Cinna vs Lucius Cornelius Cinna, two Romans who were not related. But I would imagine some conscious emulations-its possible Chandagupta was named after the Mauryan emperor the same way Gaius Octavius Thurinus renamed himself after his uncle Julius Caesar

When does treason become high treason?
In British common law and in legal systems that derive from it, such as US law, the word u201chighu201d has a specific legal meaning.
It does not mean u201cbigu201d or u201cserious.u201d It specifically means of or pertaining to high level office or high levels of the government. High crimes include any crimes you need to be in a high level of government to commit.
High treason is treason against the government itself, against the head of government, or against the nation (as distinct from petty treason, which in a feudal system is treason of a serf against a manor lord or a vassal against a local lord)

During World War II, was there ever an occasion when the Allies and the Germans fought side by side?
NopeEven if they (Germans and allied forces) made an alliance, whom would they fight with?Russians would be doing their own buisnesses and none of the countries had no grudges against them.
(Forget about hitlers plan of invading Russia)andMost of the countries were colonised by the British so they were busy fighting for independance. And those who got independance were too poor to do anything. so that leaves us with Switzerland.
But they were neutral (and also under the indirect control of nazis)So you tell me whom would they fight?Unless there was an alien invasion or something there is no point of an alliance

What have you done when a waitress said your tip was not big enough?
I went last month to a buffet that had a coronavirus special at a Chinese buffet for regular customers, that deducted $50 off of your bill for 3 person or more. 4 of us went to lunch and the bill came to $72 before the deduction.
Afterwards, the lady was looking at the twenty, ten and five, and appeared confused. She looked and fingered the money, and mumbled something like not right. Only after I pointed out that the bill was $22 at the bottom of the page, and the rest was the tip, she said Sorry, sorry about that!
and gave me a big smile

On what Mac? A MacBook?
A MacBook Air? A MacBook Pro? An iMac?
If you are talking about a MacBook or iMac, the logo doesnu2019t light up at all.If you are talking about an MacBook Air or Pro, the light is actually the backlight for the keyboard. It glows when the keyboard backlight is on.
If you close the lid, shut it down, or put it to sleep the backlight goes off, and so does the logo.Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer. The above information should not be construed as legal advice.

Why is Nicolas Cage so famous despite being a bad actor in bad films?
I used to wonder the same thing.
Then, a bunch of years ago, I discovered that his uncle is Francis Ford Coppola. Although that is now relatively common knowledge, I originally found it out quite by accident. One of his first credited roles was an itty, bitty, teeny, weenie (yello polka dot bikini?
) role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High where, coincidentally, he was listed in the credits as Nicholas Coppola. I looked it up, wondering why a Coppola would be buried so deeply in the credits of such a campy movie and, voila(!), I made the discovery that explains the answer to your question.
