What Are Good Dog Toys for a Golden Retriever Puppy?

My dog has a very unique stuffed bear. It's really big so when my dog was born till now he sleeps on it. It's very cute

1. What are some good dog toys?

Give people you hate to your dog to use as a chew toy and kill two birds with one stone. Then use the birds as toys as well

2. Dog toys for larger puppies that last more than 10 minutes?

Those black Kongs are about as tough as it gets. Try getting a size that is actually too large for him (though do not stuff it completely full with treats as that would be too much) as it will be harder for him to get his mouth on to chew it up

3. Does anyone know of any sites that give out free dog toys, bones, treats, or food?

Just let him chew on your mouse

4. Tuffies dog toys are made in China, are they safe for my dog?

they would have been recalled already if they were KNOWN to be contaminated. so, maybe we are yet to discover if 'tuffies' are contaminated

kongs are indestructible. Cow bones (leg) are always good. No rawhide. It can cut them and it's nasty

6. I need new ideas for home made dog toys!?

Hey :) As far as a cheap toy, most DEFINITELY "Rope and Hooves" by "Hartz" at Walmart they are only like 3.50. Other places I seen them for 5 and 6 dollars......I have 5 dogs and I buy 5 a week and it is soooo worth it. It keeps them busy for hours and tires the dog out as well. They chew when they are bored and have some extra energy, Try a dog backpack, in the side pockets put water bottles, 1 in each side pocket. Helps rid the dog of some of his distructive energy. Got that from the Dog Whisperer :) Watch the Discovery channel "Dog Whisperer" I use his methods and have total control of my pack of dogs. It will amaze you, you can stop your dog from chewing as much as he does with simple methods. Carrots are also a good healthy food source that dogs tend to like. Last bit of advice, If you know of a Sams club wholesale, they have for 10 dollar a bag, rawhide rolls, They are harder to chew through then rawhide flats, I call them a babysitting bone, give the dog that and they are out of your hair for a while. If you do not have a membership at Sams, go there and ask for a day pass....you can get large dog beds for under $20 as well. Good Luck, Angel

The solid Kongs are about the best, do not get the spirals if your dog is a strong chewer

9. Who agrees? (in regards to owning a dog)?

Some suggestions. I know a family that shows AKC dogs and they use Suave to bath them. You can get dog toys for $1.00 at Wal-Mart, 20 lbs of dog food for $8.00 and a large bag of treats for $4.00ish. For yearly vaccinations I take my dogs to feed stores that have vets come in and give shots and blood work for heart worms at a very reasonable price. I own two pit bull mixes and the only expensive thing for me is a trip to the vet if they get sick. Also, unfortunately I am disabled and receive government benefits this is after working all my life as a productive member of society. I wish I could work. Best of luck to you.

Bones, like real cow bones, are pretty durable. They are also cheap and you can get them shrink wrapped at the pet store

11. Extra extra strong durable dog toys?

i have an english bulldog (very strong jaws) i gave up buying toys that she shreds so i took the squeaker out of a toy she broke and used jeans to make a pillow and put the squeaker inside. believe it or not i have made several of these and she has yet to shred any of them. get the tough kind of jeans and try sowing him a pillow with a plastic bottle inside or a squeaker. they love to chew bottles and the jean fabric holds up good. my mom was surprised at the strength. i know it sounds crazy but give it a go. good luck
