I just think they have moved out of the limelight and are no longer as high profile as Apple and Google because those two companies are still in the everyday consumer market. The companies that you deal with on a daily basis as an everyday person are the ones who are talked about the most. Intel is steal the leading chip maker for desktop computer, they still do a lot of enterprise work including teaming up with Apple, and they are still doing a lot of impressive and innovative things aka Watson.
1. iPhone 3.0 beta, shows Apple will have video recording, raised cost too?
I dont think the cost will be higher because the iphone has a camera already and all they have to do is manipulate the software to record movies. Its really simple to do and they can have it done for almost nothing, so there is no reason for Apple to raise the iphone cost anytime soon. However, because of the camera and video abilities of the new iphone, the itouch will make not sell as well because everyone wants the camera/video functions. Its just very convienient. Hope this helps :)
2. What makes the galaxy s3 better than the new iPhone?
1. Bigger and better screen - Steve Jobs can haunt you from the dead, and still not be right about smaller screen size being optimal. Smartphone should have bigger screen, and anyone who got used to Samsung Note (wide and big 5.2 inch Android) could never go back to smaller device. On that note, new iPhone5 has (yet unknown) screen quality that still shouldnt be better than Samsung SAMOLED cause Steve himself said that SAMOLED is better than IPS from earlier iDevice models. 2. Android - lets you change WHAT EVER you like. Lets you customize your phone to make even fake iOS (chinese do that with andorid so fake iPhone would look real). lets you putt widgets (something iOS doesnt have) and lets you change your Interface even with your current phone, but iOS looks boring and same from back in 2007. Apps for iOS have huge database, but 90% of them are "super fart" and shiny buttons, Android apps are developed by the community to be useful, and you could even make one yourself if you download free Android SDK. Android advantages are huge: mount as disk drive - no iTunes, no stupid system boundaries, you want a file - copy-paste. super user control better GUI and control (notification bar from iOS 5 is a ripoff from Android) widgets - for me something that is most important, and would NEVER use iOS cause it has none and so much more ... SMS delivery report, for god's sake Apple! 3. Battery life - Apple still manages to putt quality hardware, but compare the screen size, and figure out how much more SGS3 or HTC One X are using, and there you go. And Android device lets you change your Firmware to a custom made one, which could boost your battery life 3x (XDA forums) 4. Price - everything is bigger, better, and probably faster (US versions of OneX and S3 have Quallcom Krait S4 CPU which is stronger than anything known, we still dont know what type of CPU is in iPhone5, but A6 iPhone5 CPU is probably quad ARM cortex A9 - a bit stronger than those 2) so even if iPhone5 CPU is stronger, that would change in 2-3 months when even better and stronger HTC or Samsung come out. this iPhone will stay for a year or more. giving such ridiculous money for a device that has already lower specs than Android devices that came out before is wrong. 5. iPhone sells style, Android is for smart phone users. I would go as far as to say that iOS is not "smart phone mobile OS" cause you are limited by usage that Apple wants you to do, you cant do more than that, and that is stupid, not smart. Only if you own a Mac, and an iPad, and have huge iTunes collection - iPhone 5 is the way to go. you dont wanna waste that. otherwise - Android is already on top of the hill, smartphone wise.
