It moves, it looks fun. It is fascinating because half the time they are trying to figure out how it works, and what it's purpose is
1. Who's getting their kids toys made in China for
Those who cannot afford buying their kids something more expensive
2. Can you use Clorox on this?
Clorox is ABSOLUTELY what to use in that situation. Chlorine bleach is the only thing that kills mold. And yes, Clorox (a very dilute solution of bleach/water) is what daycares, kindergartens, and parents everywhere use to disinfect kids' toys. Also, restaurants use bleach to disinfect cutting boards and other food surfaces. Again, dilute solutions and rinsed well. So, sure ... to kill mold and bacteria, nothing beats bleach.
3. Do you think its wrong to throw away a kids toys?
dont' throw them away -- give them to a foster home or an orphanage, or donate them somewhere. i used to clean my kids toys out quite a lot... i am sure she wo not miss the ones you take, or which she no longer pays attention to. take care, merry christmas.
4. To the parents out there. have you ever had one of your kids toys go off for no reason?
yes - many years ago while I was watching Millenium
5. Is It OK to break My Kids Toys?
Ummm... No. You are a real prize, are not you?
6. What is exactly wrong with banning high calorie Happy Meals that entice kids with toys?
What exactly is wrong with letting the PARENTS make the choice about what their kids eat? Why should we have the government telling us what we can let our kids eat?
7. Do you wash your kids toys?
only thing i do is on stuffed animals i use that anitbaterical spray that is safe on toys or the clorox anywhere is awesome i do not clean them unless they have food or something on them or something like that and i do not clean them if another child has played with them your child needs to get immuned to other things or it can be bad on the child to get sick easy so i would just spray them with something and be done fast
8. What's the best way to organize kids toys?
Throwing them in boxes or big colorful laundry baskets is about all you can do, unless you want to also invest in like these stuffed-animal-holding hammocks that anchor from corner to corner in a bedroom, and you want to buy wall-mounted shelves. If you want to save money, then just have a big box or two in her room and another box or big nice wicker basket in another room of the house. Before cleaning house, we used to have "5 minute cleanup", where everyone in the family would run like crazy people all over the house and throw any toy into a box. We always could get done, amazingly, in only 5 minutes, and then the surfaces would be clear enough for vacuuming and wiping
9. How do I edit my kids toys?
I periodically go through her toys and throw away or donate the toys she no longer plays with. And then I keep a few of the ones out she does play with and keep several others in the closet and switch em out. So she does not get bored with all her toys at the same time, swapping em out is like her getting a new toy every week or two.
10. Should I sell and give away all my kids toys since they have no time to play with them anymore?
sure. and paint their rooms white and take out all pictures and other decorations. Let them be kids! They are NOT little adults!
11. Has your kids toys ever went off by themselves?
Yes. We live in a tiny apartment and I had put a bunch of my daughter's toys that she does not play with anymore into a garbage bag to be put into the closet. It was sitting next to the closet where I could hear it (or not hear it I guess) all day long. That thing would not go off AT ALL during the day but every single night, it would go off as soon as we all went to bed. It would go off, stop for 10 minutes or so, go off again, stop, go off, stop.....if you got up while it was going off, it would just stop as soon as you stood up. It was creepy. Then last week, I left my daughter on the couch, watching cartoons before her nap. I had to run downstairs (where my Grandma lives) to get something. I was gone for maybe 30 seconds and when I came back up, as soon as I opened the door, I could see an Elmo vacuum cleaner my daughter has laying on it's side on the floor but it was rocking back and forth really hard like someone was sitting there pushing on it. It stopped a second after I saw it and my daughter was still on the couch watching tv. Also, whenever I take her into the basement to do laundry, I sit her on the dryer. The furnace is right in the middle of the basement and she will bend to see around me and keep saying, "Hi Papa"...which is what she calls my stepdad, who is alive and well but sometimes when she was little, she would call any older guy "Papa".
