It can mean to go from dark to bright very quickly, or even be overloaded with lights. It also can mean being drunk, since being "lit" is one slang term for being drunk
1. Is it dangerous for a cat or dog (or other animal) to eat Christmas tree tinsel (the long silver strands, maybe plastic)?
YES. Many cats have developed serious intestinal lacerations from eating tinsel, and some dogs have as well. This necessitates serious surgery and can be fatal. I recommend not to use any type of long stringlike object in the homes of cat and dog owners. Even a needle and thread can be swallowed and do this.Is it dangerous for a cat or dog (or other animal) to eat Christmas tree tinsel (the long silver strands, maybe plastic)?

3. Make Your Christmas Tree Look Like a Million Bucks on a Budget â
One of my absolute favorite parts of Christmas decorating is putting up the Christmas tree, or trees - plural - now that I've bought more than one! Up until two years ago, I did not own a single tree that I was proud of. My artificial tree was as basic as it gets and I did not put a lot of effort into my seasonal decor until my husband and I purchased our first home together. My first Christmas tree upgrade was a 7 ft. pencil tree that I put in our family room to save space, but still add loads of Christmas cheer! It's not flocked, but it does have a soft and beautiful realistic look to it. It is extremely similar to the one below!
4. What do you do with your Christmas tree when your celebration is over?
Since we have an artificial tree, we pack it in an air tight box along with all of the ornaments and lights (lots of lights) and put it away until next year. If I had my way I would leave it up and decorate it for all the different holidays we celebrate throughout the year, but then it would not be as special at Christmas. So the rest of the year I use candles, rechargeable votives, etc. Our tree is not very big since our apartment is small, but I am very happy with it.What do you do with your Christmas tree when your celebration is over?
5. Would a Jewish President continue on Whitehouse traditions like the Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Tree Lighting?
I would hope so, as they seem to be national traditions. I think it would be great to have celebrations for other religions also
6. Do you turn off your Christmas tree at night?
I like to sleep in a totally dark room, even on Christmas Eve. I have tried sleeping with the tree lights on in the living room and they shine down the small hall and right into the bedroom. Just can not do it. Off they have to go!
7. How does your pet react to the Christmas tree?
We have one of those spiral trees that collapse, Jack and Theo (cats) like to lay inside it and look up at the lights. Usually they fall asleep under there. It sounds like a great nap to me to fall asleep looking up into a spiral of colorful lights. The problem arises when one hides inside the tree and pokes at the other outside the tree. They end up getting into a scuffle and the tree may collapse. At that point, they've raced across the room staring at the tree like it attacked them and we have to go and pick up tree and hook it back on its metal bar
