What university is best for studying chemistry: UCL, Manchester or Bristol, regarding teaching excellence and graduate prospects?

I donu2019t think it makes much difference, apart from the opportunities that may come your way if you are based in London. It is more you the person employers will be looking at, more so than whether it was UCL, Bristol or Manchester where you got your 1st or 2.1 But Bristol and UCL have the edge over Manchester in terms of social class, generally speaking.

But the Investment banks do call at Manchester as well.How do the chemistry courses at these institutions differ ?My guess would be that the course at Manchester is the most comprehensive; based on the large range of PhD research projects on offer.

Organic chemistry, polymer science, surface analysis, Instrumental analysis, and heterogeneous catalysis /transition metal chemistry are Manchesteru2019s strengths. UCL has a large computational chemistry research group. They also research Nano sized oxides, surface science, organic synthesis, and inorganic chemistry.

Bristol is probably best of the three for theoretical chemistry and spectroscopy.

This probably has nothing to do with the question but I thought it was a funny story I could share somewhat related to this.

So this random man in Instagram started sending me some clearly love or sexually involved questions. After a quick read of the questions, I thought it would be funny if I could direct him to a cannibal restaurant. So I sent what I thought was the best automated message I could on asking for organ donors for the cannibal restaurant.

Eventually I found an actual website on a cannibal restaurant who coincidently were asking for donors. I sent him the link and he never texted me again. But I couldnu2019t stop it there, I was having way too much fun, I got my friend to start spamming him with the same automated message everyday, we kept this up for a week and kept involving more people who spammed him.

Eventually we all blocked him but it was hilariously fun

When is an acceptable time to text someone in the morning?

I have a rule and for those people that know me really well the rule is that no one texts me before 10. I need time to get up, go for my run, and enjoy the beginning of my day before you bombard me with texts.

It really depends on the type of person you are talking about because my friends know when it is acceptable to text me. Certainly not past 9pm and not before 10am, unless it is an emergency.If its my boyfriend, we live together so it isnt a big deal.

However, when we werent in the same home he would text me at around 6am and this wasn't until we knew each other for a good three months. He was the only person I would let do that so early in the morning. So I definitely would ask yourself, how long have I known this person?
