i would wash them in the washer and then get antibacterial wipes and use that afterwards on the plastic
1. are clorox/lysol wipes safe to use on baby toys?
Are they new? Do other children play with them? Do you have pets? If not, then you can use a soapy washcloth with water. That should be fine. If you do have any one of these, this should still suffice. I do not really think the Lysol is nessecary. But if you just absolutely want to use it, then rinse very well
2. Where to buy non-electronic baby toys?
try stores like learning express or google for toy stores in your area. I know what you are talking about. some of the book stores really have very good toys, the kind you are talking about
3. How can I safely disinfect my baby toys?
You can use a tablespoon of clorox with 8 oz of water
4. How can I disinfect soft baby toys that play music?
Stuffed animals can not really be cleaned. You can surface clean them but you can not do anything about what got inside. It's usually best to toss and start again.
5. Why do I even bother with buying baby toys?
My son figured out how to open the cupboards this week, and now I have Tupperware all over my kitchen floor. Empty boxes are a hit here too, the phone or TV remote as well. I joke for his first and second birthday, screw the toys, I am getting a refrigerator or dryer box. He does not really have a non-favorite
6. Baby toys that drive you up the wall?
Well in addition to elmo from my mentioning in your previous answer... It is now the counting caterpillar (Leap Frog I think) (a sampling) five little lady bugs meet for lunch...five little lady bugs munch and crunch...1,2,3,4,5!! red, red ya hear what I said?? reeeeedddd, yeah! hello blue bird fly along...sing your blue bird opera song! Blluuuueeeeee! rain> yup you have to pick "classical medley" it says colors too in opera, country, reggae, and some other stuff. She adores the thing...
7. What are the best baby toys for newborns that promote development?
I had all kinds of toys that were supposed to be for 0. My baby is 11 weeks and just started noticing toys and mobiles. She loves her toys that are black, white and primary colors. She just stares at them. She still is not grabbing anything. Just this week, she started noticing herself in the mirror too. She also seems to like the noise rattles make too. yes...I agree. Her favorite toy is me and my face! She loves looking at me and cooing at me so I talk back.
8. Do baby toys that *make noise* annoy you?
they dont annoy me until one of them starts to go off randomly and I do not know where it is, and yet the noise continues to go off!!
9. Using Baby Toys For Puppies?
That's funny-when my daughter was teething we were staying with my sister and would find that she would somehow manage to get the dogs rubber chew toys. She didn' care much for the ones I would gotten for babies so my sis went and got her her own chew toy like the one the dog had
10. Do The Baby Toys Need To Be Cleaned First?
i would wash them with warm soapy water and rinse them. Baby wont play with toys for a few months so you can probably leave them in the boxes they came in until then. I disinfect my children's toys once a week or so.
11. WTF is up with bilingual baby toys?
I am so sorry you feel that way. First of all you are wrong in saying that in other countries they do not sell toys that speak English...so wrong you are. Most of the toys in other countries speak English, even if with a Chinese accent. Now as for your fear that learning other languages through toys will hinder his ability to speak English...well, sorry, you are so wrong again. First one could only wish that just by being exposed to a few bilingual toys a kid would become totally fluent in the other language. Second, even if through toys your kid learns a second language he will still have English as his mother language since that is the language spoken at home (and later in school). Learning other languages stretch kids minds intellectually, and give them an understanding of people beyond their dominant culture making they better able to appreciate what is human versus what is cultural. Something you clearly did not have an opportunity to do in your life, but as the good mother you are you could only hope you could provide this to your kid. I am sure you can do a good research on the advantages of learning other languages but here is some food for thought: * Research has shown that math and verbal SAT scores climb higher with each additional year of foreign language study. * Learning a foreign language will sharpen one's skills in English. * Learning a second language increases one's problem-solving skills at the same time that it improves memory and self-discipline. Studies have shown that the ability to think in two languages also heightens creativity. * With globalization, no matter what career you choose, if you've learned a second language, you will have a real advantage
