What Other Songs Are Like Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra?

When you say u201clikeu201d Mr. Blue Sky, Iu2019m going on the assumption that you mean episodic, symphonic, Beatles-inspired rock songs. The mother of this genre is u201cA Day in the Lifeu201d by the Beatles, to which u201cMr.

Blue Skyu201d tips its cap in several ways, not least of which is the u201cding ding dingu201d firebell that precisely echoes the rhythm of the panting in the u201cWoke up, fell out of bedu201d section of u201cA Day in the Life. u201d The other Seventies band that mastered this genre was 10cc. What is the Russian word order?

Russian, unlike English, does not denote the grammatical role of words by their order. It does so, instead, by changing the endings of words. For example, an English speaker, upon hearing the sentence u201cJohn sees Maryu201d, understands that John is the one doing the u201cseeingu201d, because John is the first word in the sentence.

To the English speaker, u201cMary sees Johnu201d has a completely different meaning, because the word order has been reversed. The Russian equivalent to this sentence is u201cDzhon videt Mariyuu201d. In the Russian sentence, the endings of the nouns, with the name John having no ending and the name Mary ending in u201cyuu201d, tell the listener that John is the one doing the action and that Mary is the object.

Thus, the words of the sentence can be arranged in different orders (Mariyu videt Dzhon, Dzhon Mariyu videt etc.) with little change to the sentenceu2019s fundamental meaning. While Russian generally does prefer a SVO order, other arrangements can be employed in order to shift the emphasis of the sentence without altering its meaning.

Why do some people never greet first and always wait for others to say hi? Should I greet such people first all the time?

I would say they dont greet first because its not important to them.

This rubs me the wrong way and I take it personal, even though I probably shouldnt. I was raised in a culture where greeting is very important ( I am East African). Greeting as well as just having manners.

I think its lost in the U. S. , where sometimes neighbors dont want to say hi.

One thing I find annoying is people that say hi when they feel like it, so certain days they will ignore you and certain days give you an enthusiastic Hi!, and even some cheerful convo. My thing though is that you should always say hi, or at least acknowledge your neighbor or coworker etc.

This can be subtle, no need for perkiness. Some people just dont know the rules. Well then I stop saying hi, on a day when you feel like saying hi and I can tell you feel uncomfortable

What is %p in the printf function in C programming language?

%p is a format specifier which is used if we want to print data of type (void *) i.e, in simple words address of pointer or any other variable . The output is displayed in hexadecimal value.

But since the memory address can be displayed in integer values or float so even if we use %d ,%f or any other format specifier to print the address it will print the address in the argument type of that format specifier and depending on the compiler ,it will not give any error but display a warning . As for the following program, int a10;int* ptr &a;printf("%pn",ptr);printf("%lun" ptr);gives an output on my machine like this0x7ffec53fa020140732207702048and a warning saying:warning: format u2018%luu2019 expects argument of type u2018long unsigned intu2019, but argument 2 has type u2018int *u2019 -Wformat|Conclusion: If we convert the hexadecimal value displayed in the output to itu2019s decimal value then the number would be the same as displayed on LINE 2 of the output.Hence %p can be simply understood as format specifier to print the hexadecimal memory location (address) of a variable.

How do you say "hello how are you" in Russian?

In Russian language, culture and life one doesnt ask a question if ones not ready to listen to the long answer. So in Russian people dont say how are you unless they indeed want to know how is it going on in the life of the person they address to.

How are you is an invitation to the conversation about ones life, health, family and children, job and whatnot. Of course, close pals or friends may ask each other how are you but this is, in fact, not a politeness, it is an empathy: you care about your friend, your friend cares about you. It is not expected to receive an answer Im fine and you when things are not, in fact, fine.

The movie shows the Russian reaction to how are you like this (turn English subtitles on):So, if you want a polite greeting to a person, it is , zdrav-stvui-teh to an unknown and/or a respected person. For a close pal or a kid you can say privet but its like hi in English: you dont say hi to your University professor

How many times the u2018Hellou2019 will be printed in the below C code? #include

h> int main() int k 0; for (; k) printf ("Hello"); if (k%100) break;

I cannot emphasize on this more please don't make your program look clumsy and don't put your programs in single line in question itself nobody has that amount of time for a random person on internet most will just move over the question. Its better to just ask the question and provide a link to your source code or (if its short) then type it in a comment under the question do not write it on one line.your lines of code must look like this:#include

h>int main() int k 0; for (;; k) printf( "Hello" ); if (k % 10 0) break; see looks beautiful(*overdramatic) doesnu2019t it(not after Quora puts its formatting into it) now we come to your code not being nitpicky but you wrotefor (;k)I understood what you meant to do was:for(;;k)but since its a coding related question people can get confused sincefor(;k;)is also viable.so now your question here is the answer:once if what you intended was:for(;;k)and none if what you intended was:for(;k;)

Are Chinese people racist against Indians?

There is absolutely racism against Indians in China, but it's unfair to say "Chinese people are racist against Indians".

It's impossible to judge how honest and how widespread such accusations are - because some people may have feelings they wont express (and far less likely to express to 'outsiders' or even near/infront of them). I've heard Chinese friends/coworkers/people I don't consider to be generally racist people, who have travelled abroad and are well educated refer to Indians, in general, as smelly, dirty, and poor - and were not shy about those assertions at all. As for the Indian men I know in China, I know they have a far harder time getting with girls / finding a girlfriend than some other races, but I wouldn't call that an absolute - it would depend on factors that Chinese often associate with beauty - like skin tone and personal hygiene.

and even these factors will be more heavily scrutinised than, say, a smelly hairy white dude, in general

I am a beginner programmer. How do I get better?

Simple, really - all the below.

Read, read, read. Keep pushing your knowledge, even - especially - on things you understand. And no matter how much you read, it will never be enough.

Code, code, code. Keep trying new things, because you really only learn from your mistakes. This can hurt you if you're in employment, because you aren't paid to make mistakes.

Have the aptitude. Sorry, but a lot of what makes a good coder is innate. Personality.

Recognise what your limits are, and be happy there. Bad coders can be trying to work beyond their competence. Hard to untangle from #2 until you've made enough mistakes.

#1and #2 are why good coders don't have much social life. If you have time to socialise, have a relationship, study, hold down a non-coding job, wash etc (eating's okay, you can code and eat at the same time) then you aren't trying hard enough. Some people can be good coders - great coders with less effort.

But, they could be more. And don't you want to be the best?

How do you say u201cyesu201d in Arabic?

Arabic has a written form that is standard across the Arab world. In the written language, nau2019am (u0646u0639u0645) is the word for u2018yes.u2019But across the Arab world, there are dozens of spoken Arabic dialects, and most people will say u2018yesu2019 in a different way, depending on what dialect of Arabic they speak.

For example, Egyptians commonly say aywa (u0623u064au0648u0627), often just shortened to ah. In Lebanon, people usually say eh or ay.I noticed a comment on another answer saying aywa isnu2019t really Arabic, and foreigners shouldnu2019t learn this.

This is a bit of a debate in the Arab world. As a foreigner studying Arabic, I tend to think dialects are u201crealu201d Arabic, and it is very helpful to learn the way people actually speak. But of course you need to be aware of written vocabulary toou2014and in fact, some people say nau2019am, even in Egypt, when they are being very certain or very formal

How do Native Americans feel about black people?

I went to a party years ago. I was probably 35 at the time and my Native American friend, who is Creek, wanted to go and I went along. This party was full of Mexicans and Natives.

Well, I was having fun talking and laughing also discussing my own Native blood. Creek and Cherokee. Funny enough, they, the Natives saw it and asked about it.

The music that was playing was urban hip hop, it suddenly changed to a more Mexican style music. I didn't say anything. Not my house, if I don't like the music I know how to leave.

Well, the Natives protested and the guy who changed the music said "he didn't want to hear no more Ni**er music." He pissed off the Natives. I was the only black person there.

The Natives were ready to fight. The situation was resolved but wow they weren't happy and I felt like they went into protective mode where I was concerned. Very interesting night
