I've met some Korean-American who are in good terms with Koreans and some who aren't in good terms with them due to not seeing eye-to-eye with each other (different ideologies).To be honest, both the Koreans (who were born and raised there) and I (also Korean-American) are pretty indifferent with each other whenever we interact.

It's neither a good thing or a bad thing, it's just how it is. All I can say is not to worry too much about it since it is (most likely) possible to be in good terms with Koreans as long as you understand where they're coming from and interact with them as much as you can so you can pick up some phrases (possible habits) from them (if you are that interested)

There is no "best" OS.

Each has its own set of pro and con. Windows is the best if you want to try your hands at designing stuff and maybe audio video editing. Obviously people may point out GIMP for graphic editing and designing and maybe Audacity for audio editing, but we have got much better software in Windows.

On the other hand, if you are into development, you should definitely try your hands at Linux. I have seen pretty weird issues with Windows, but nothing as such with Linux. Fiddling with the Linux terminal gives you a nice little insight as to how it works.

And on top of that, Linux is free. Choose whatever flavor you feel like to begin with. There's plenty of documentation available online to help one sail through in case he's stuck somewhere.
