How can I become an airline pilot without joining a flight school?

Bear in mind, most airlines require a college degree.

Most donu2019t care what the degree is, but physics and math help. Some smaller, regional and commuter donu2019t require a college degree, if you have a license. First, go to the nearest FAA office and get a student pilot certificate.

They will have a list of doctors, who give FAA physicals. Go to one of them, and get at least a third class medical. If you are planning to fly commercially, get a first class medical.

You may as well find out, right now, if you have any condition which would preclude you from getting a first class. Then, find a flying school. You may be able to find a Certified Flight Instructor, who has a plane you can rent.

This is perhaps the most expensive way to go. Brings LOTS of money. It will probably take about $10,000.

One thing for sure is that our western world is hell bent on prolonging childhood and delaying emotional development.In my mind and certainly in biological terms that is absurd. This is artificial, a kind of convenience, an unnecessary protection and MOSTLY a form of control over the 14 yr old.

A 14 yr old is NOT a child. He/she is a teenager, an adolescent or in european terms a young adultAgreed, these 14 yr olds do not have life experiences and are mostly still dependent on their parents. At the turn of the century though, society was quite accepting of sending 15 yr olds to fight in wars.

Now all of a sudden we consider that age group children. How bizarre!There are also other stupid arguments that society and parents bring up to argue why a 14 yr old is still a child - unable to cast a vote in elections, unable to drive, now allowed to start a family, not allowed to have a bank account.

Well you see all these are imposed and legislated for convenience. Agree about the voting argument. A 14 yr old cannot vote because he/she does not have the experience needed to make an informed choice and the consequences could be disastrous if 14 yr olds were allowed to vote to elect a leader.

Otherwise most of the other things are quite possible for a 14 yr old to achieve.My argument is that anyone who has reached puberty is no longer a child ( there may be exceptions in those who reach puberty much earlier, but those are exceptions). That person biologically is deemed ready by a biological process to be able to mate and to procreate and as such to nurture and have offsprings and a family.

So the answer to your question is NO. A 14 yr old is NOT a child and should not be considered a child

Well I do have to say that personally I have had the most profound experience in my life this year. It all started with a new job, new people new friendships.
