One fine day we had a fire drill, and since it had not been previously mentioned to the staff, we had to assume there was really something wrong. I took the kids out to the parking lot where we stood for forty-five minutes. That was another hint that something was wrong.

Finally the bell rang and we returned to class. My classroom was in wild disarray. Drawers had been opened, papers were scattered around, the cupboard was still standing open, A mess!

The teacher next door came over, looked around, and said that his room was in the same state.As it turned out, there had been a bomb threat called in, so admin cleared the building and along with the security guards had searched our classrooms. When they didnt find a bomb, they let us all back in.

Eventually it was discovered that a teacher had called in the bomb threat. She was arrested, and then she was involuntarily committed to an asylum from which she subsequently escaped! I dont know if she ever turned up again or not.

She was crazy, but not, apparently, stupid.And of course, we had to clean up our own classrooms

What is the strangest thing you've ever seen as a teacher?

Being a teacher , you should see children as an equal without being bias , racist or even not have favourites . That's not fair .

Each child no matter what ,needs education , love and attention equally.I've worked with children of different walks of life , and always treat each one with the same respect. There was this one teacher I worked with at one stage in my teaching career.

Who was a brilliant teacher none the less. If I may say so myself .However , I noticed ,sadly she would not brush children's hair's that was not long ,and straight.

And their cute little faces stayed dirty She'd skip them , so sad .Strange I thought ,I could be wrong .At first I said nothing .

Thinking maybe time did not allow it and I'd then brush those learners hair and wash their faces too . then what is did was a teaching curve in a teachers life. I brushed all those learners hairs tat shed normally do and left the rest to her .

And after each of those leaners were done . Hair's brushed and faces washed . I lethink them say .

THANK YOU TEACHER D FOR WASHING MY FACE AND BRUSHING MY HAIR . I LOVE YOU AND GAVE HER A HUG. Well let's just say .

It never happened again . I I could have just called her into the office and sister her down . But chose to do it differently and it worked .

Why do many Koreans hate foreigners in Korea?

It would be more accurate to ask why SOME Koreans hate foreigners. Its for the same reason that some Americans hate foreigners. Youll find racists everywhere you go.

Its a universal fact of life. But are ALL Koreans like that? In my experience (spanning three decades), only a minority of them are.

Truly. That said, Koreans collective and historical experience of foreigners has not usually been a happy one. Theyve spent millennia playing second fiddle to other nations stronger than they are (China, Japan, Russia, America), and have a history of being a battle ground that other countries have fought over.

The way foreigners tend to go into Korea and throw their weight around (easy to do, given the way Koreans are hard-wired to be almost obsequiously polite), and demand that Koreans (even in their own country) deal with them on THEIR terms, hasnt helped. For example, they will just assume that you cant speak Korean and dont want to learn; if they want to deal with you, it will have to be in English or not at all. Why?

Because MOST of their interactions with foreigners have been with people just like that.As youll know from some of the other things Ive written, I sometimes get pissed off at the way some Koreans tend to make negative assumptions about me based on stereotypes. But in my more sober moments, I know that there is a reason for that.

Prejudices they have about foreigners are not entirely something theyve just made up out of thin air

Do Koreans like half Koreans? I don't speak Korean (other than the basics) and I don't think I look Korean either. I don't really understand the culture either so I'm not such a great half "Korean.

I run an anime company and in the summer, we work hard to sell toys and other products to visitors at anime cons. Two years ago my employee brought to Koreans guys to work with us, both Korean 100% but with slightly different backgrounds. One guy was super Americanized, didnt know any Korean and was lazy, we were all shocked at the idea of a lazy Korean.

The other guy was super motivated, worked hard without being asked, and we loved working with him we naturally invited him back. In addition to knowing English perfectly, he also knew Korean and had a Korean heart, knowing his countrys history and being able to talk about it. (Im a blogger writing about Japan for the last 20 years, so we have had some polite conversations about history between Japan and South Korea.

If not, then it might be best to look for a better place to live/stay than Korea, or Texas.I can say that the Japanese view Nikkei Japanese as being a totally separate people than NIHONJIN.

Japanese in Hawaii are Hawaiian Japanese, connected by history but totally separate. Japanese people in Japan know about the internment camps during WWII but consider it has an unfortunate thing that happened to another people that they share some blood with, and frankly dont have a complex about it as wed expect. Hi,C was names after Bjarne Stroustrup who looked for a more appropriate name than originally, which was called u201cC with Classesu201d.

Classes comes from Simula language (user defined types).The new name was found by an Italian colleague of Bjarne, for the increment of C, as the short summary for C is also a better C. Note the operator exists is C as well.

Maybe C - - would therefore be u201ca Purified Cu201d, so something like just C, but with a cleaner syntax, possibly no malloc, realloc, but with classes, as in C.So C - - could be a better C.It has been stated than C and C should have been merged, and also C may have wished not to need some parts of C, but for compatibility and historical reasons, C still included some features, which are however not recommended to use.
