samsung is a great choice
1. can you use a very mild detergent like joy to clean your led tv screen and just rinse very well?
DO NOT USE WINDEX! Use only a very slightly dampened, with water, micro fiber cloth. Then gently wipe it dry with another microfiber cloth. LEDs are plastic screens and are easily damaged.
2. What should I look for when considering & buying a new led TV? Probably 40 inch for the living room, primary TV? Good brands & features?
Samsung is typically the best brand to go with as they tend to be the most reliable. They also tend to cost more. Overall with television sets, you really DO get what you pay for. Some shortcomings of low-end sets are acceptable for casual use, such as a less than perfect picture vs. the high-end sets - but reliability is a key issue too. Those $229 40" sets are honestly "throw-away sets". Many people who do not need the best, lean toward LG and even Best Buy's house brand Insignia. Do not let the "LCD" vs. "LED" comments confuse you, as all "LED" sets use an LCD panel and all sets sold today made with LCD panels use LEDs for illumination - so it's really a non-issue. There are still some plasma sets to be found, but they really are obsolete now. They were one the best, but LCD based sets have drastically improved in very recent times. With a set of 40" or larger, the resolution of 1080p is recommended. Actually few sets in this size class are not, but there may be some cheapie holdouts. Do not fret over the "60 Hz", 120 Hz, 240 Hz" numbers too much. This is posted on the display tags - just ignore them.
3. What is the best led TV brand?
My preference would be Samsung (7, 8, or 9000 series)
4. Do I need DHMI cables on my new HD LED TV?
To get HD from Comcast you must have all of the following: A HDTV A HD cable box A HD-compatible cable/wiring A HD channel If you do not have all of these, you are not actually watching TV in HD. It sounds as though your cable box is not HD or you are not using a HD compatible wire. HDMI is the recommended wire for HD because it carries both the picture and sound on a single cable, but you can also use a component video cable. A component video cable is a set of 5 RCA plugs. 3 are for video (red, blue, green) and 2 are for audio (red, white). Yes there are 2 different red plugs. The old standard yellow, red, white RCA cables will NOT give you a HD signal. Throw them out. Finally, make sure you are actually watching a HD station. In the Guide it should be clearly marked with a "HD". Another way to tell is that HD channels usually end with a .1 or _1. For instance, if your local Fox station is channel 2, then channel 2.1 is Fox-HD. You can still watch non-HD channels with your HD setup, but they will look sort of grainy. Trust me, when you are actually watching a HD channel, you will know it!
5. PS3 flashes blank screen when hooked up to LG LED tv?
What you are describing sometimes happens when you have the wrong resolution or fps selected as your PS3 output. Try 1080i, with 24 fps off if that setting is available. If you have it set to 1080p with 24fps on and your tv can not handle that setting, it will keep shutting down. Just keep trying different combinations of those settings and maybe one will work well
6. Can I buy a Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 at offline stores in India?
I need 43 inches mi led how buy offline
7. Which brand is better for a smart LED TV?
There are tons of options available in the market right now. Trust me, I went through a lot of them at the beginning of this year because I decided it was high time to upgrade my TV. I chose that since the tech is available in the market, why not get it. I also understood that it will cost me more money than buying a regular TV. I was wrong. So I checked out almost every brand of TV that you could think of, finding flaws in many of them. Some were cheaping out on materials, others were way too expensive for my pocket and lifestyle. This was the case until I arrived at Daiwa one day. I got all that I wanted and at an unbelievable price point. It cost me half the money well-known brands would have charged me, while giving me the same quality. Of course I went and checked the TV in person before buying it.It was worth every penny that I spent on it. The clarity, the quality, and the experience have all been phenomenal. Plus I can do so many things with the push of a simple button on the TV because it is a smart TV. You want the best options in Smart TV? Go for Daiwa without a doubt
