Neither go for the LSD
1. My cell phones LCD screen cracked?
Sorry but no Sprint will not fix the screen. But you could still use it that is the point of a cell phone. If you could survive it for a year or so just keep it. I not sure but if you have warranty you could just over charge the phone and send it to sanyo and they will send you a new phone. Or you could just buy an unlocked phone on ebay. You could let someone fix the screen but it becomes to pricey.
2. Sharp LCD TV power issues?
Joe, It likely was originally a problem with the power supply - keep in mind that failed electrolytic capacitors do not always burst or even bulge when they go bad. However now you go to the digital control board... which it likely damaged. This is the risky part when repairing/replacing the power supply - another board may have been damaged as well. Personally, you've given it your best shot - time to cut your losses and replace the set. At this point, you are tossing money into it. Time to let go.
3. Whats a decent TV out there?
Post your realistic budget, the screen size you want/need, and whether you specifically want plasma or LCD and you will probably get some suggestions. Your question is too open ended. BTW, the Sony brand is only surpassed in performance, reliability, and ability to obtain parts and service by Panasonic
4. What is the best way to clean a glass TV screen? Should I use windex and a newspaper? what about water?
for lcd or plasma nothing that contains ammonia a mild dish soap and a little water and and lint free cloth. you can also purchase screen cleaning kits at most electronic stores that come with a safe solution and cloth
5. Need special cables when installing new Sanyo LCD TV?
Optimal hook up for HDTV is HDMI or DVI to HDMI. This allows a better digital signal. The HDMI cable can be bought at radio shack or ordered for a reasonable amount. do not buy the expensive monster cable. Check with your Satellite provider to make sure the box that you have will provide HD signal. 32 inch Sharp or Sony is better T. V. might check out the LG as well.
6. My Husband and I would like to buy a flat panel television?
Here put simply is the differences between Plasma and LCD LCD's: Higher resolution (Sharper),brighter, non-reflective. PLASMA: Faster processor for movement, (Smoother images) more natural colours (because of higher contrasts),and 3 dimensional look. Most people are buying LCDs, as with HD TV they look that much sharper, etc. If you are a sports fanatic, recommend Plasma still, because of lots of movement, but for general TV / Dvds and gaming, LCD. Follow the trend! Both are great technologies, just different! Similar prices across the board too. It seems that no matter who you talk too, or read reviews about, Plasma still comes up with the overall best picture, but most people would rather have Sharper Image, and Non-Reflective screen, than a more Realistic Image with Smoother Movement?!?! Recommend: Sony/Samsung/Sharp LCDs. Panasonic/Pioneer/Samsung plasmas. Hope this helps.
7. Are Emerson LCD HD TV's good?
A very low-end TV..Also with gaming (like PS-3) you will get lag and/or blur on fast action with an LCD TV..(and LED..)
8. Will windex ruin a dlp?
The screens of "old-fashioned" CRT sets can be safely cleaned with Windex or any other regular glass cleaner, but for plasma, LCD, and other modern sets, be certain to follow the TV manufacturer's recommendations for cleaning the screen.
9. What's better: LCD or LED?
LED is better, its best when it is FULL HD
10. what is the best tv for gameing?
I am assuming you have either a PS3 or Xbox 360. For HD gaming you really need a plasma screen. The refresh rate on an LCD is too slow and may not keep up with the action unless you spend a horrendous amount of cash! Do not know much about LED other than the prices are higher than plasma. Also, if you want a TV over 32" you can again forget about LCD as you lose picture quality while a plasma generally retains it's definition. As for make, I would go for samsung for two very good reasons. 1 - price vs quality. So many people go for Sony or Panasonic because they've heard they are the best. They may be marginally better but hardly to the naked eye and the prices are astronomical compared to other brands. Samsung is still a very well known make with a good history of quality but still with realistic prices. 2 - Xbox use samsung for demonstrations. Look at any Xbox set up in a shop and you will see it's hooked up to a Samsung TV. Yes, this is down to a contract and the right amount of cash in the right pockets but Xbox is Microsoft, not exactly a small business in need of the cheapest deal. Basically, they would not have signed the contract if Samsung could not deliver the quality. I personally have used a 42" Samsung plasma screen with a PS3 for over a year and have recently added an Xbox 360 and I could not be happier with the quality. Hope that helps.
