There are other reasons, but those seem to be the top two. It can be as simple as a stupid little argument over a card game, though.

A persons friends often incite them to do something they would otherwise have the common sense not to do. Unfortunately, it is very common for friends like this to set situations like this up, and play the game called Lets You and Him Fight, so they can stand back and be entertained and see if and how they fight.
