Which Baby Toys Does Your Baby Have?

My daughter LOVES her jumperoo and exersaucer. She would rather play in them then be on the floor or play with anything else. She's 4 1/2 months now and started playing in/with them around 3 1/2 months old.

1. When washing soft baby toys in the washer, should I be using a detergent like "dreft" or just use hot water?

i personally would advise against detergent, unless they sell baby friendly ones. im not sure. you could use BiCarb soda. its pretty much a 100% germ killer. I use it in place of detergent in our house. so far the colour doesent leave the clothes.

2. What do I need to start a babysitting business?

Most of the time the parents will provide the pack in plays, and sometimes a car seat. They may even provide their favorite toys or one of those toys that a baby lies down on and plays with. What you may really need to buy is a booster seat with a tray. It does not have to be a pricey one, but be sure it has a tray so the baby can feed itself it is at that age. You may want to buy 2 or 3 bottles but, most parents will give you almost everything. I would suggest having diapers in case a parent forgets to pack those but, you will not give every baby your diapers. This is only for emergencies. Bibs can also be helpful. Be sure you have PBS or another kids channel like NickJr. or you will have to buy DVDs for the babies. Parents may not like their kids watching Spongebob, Johnny Test or a show that you think is okay. Like I said before though, the parents will provide almost everything so you wo not need to worry about having an abundance of these items, just enough to get yourself through a day in case the parent forgets to pack something. But most importantly have baby toys. Babies always want new things to play with! Just do not forget that you should probably wash them every other day or so :) Make sure you have a clear area for them to play, and have some easy baby food for a baby that can chew. This can be bananas. You should also see if you can get online training. Good Luck !.

3. What are the best baby toys (for ages 1-2 years old)?

My girls love pretend play toys like kitchens, vacuums, baby dolls. Anything that makes them feel like they are doing what mommy does. they like ride ons too. My 2 year old loves to draw and the aquadoodles and other drawing supplies that do not get on walls and clothes are awesome for that age.

4. Let me try and be more specific. My cat has chin acne?

I had a cat with chin acne too. First I will say something about the bowls and then I will tell you what you really want to know, which is how to get rid of the acne easy and fast. As you know already, do not use plastic bowls. I checked out the Le Bistro feeder at petmate.com and it is the same plastic as the Fresh Flow fountain, which I have. I may be wrong, but I do not think this is the kind of plastic that is prohibited. The plastic you are not supposed to use is that cheapie plastic--the kind of bowl dogs leave their teeth marks in. If you look at the Petmate site, it says some of their plastic products are made with "Nitroban" which inhibits growth of bacteria. Maybe give them a call. They do have replacement bowls but it does not specify materials. Or you could just put some foil over the lip of the bowl. Lately I am loving the "Anywhere Hard Surface Cleaner" which kills every germ you need to kill and is safe to use without rinsing on baby toys and trays, food surfaces. Grocery store. Also kills e.coli if the litter box ever fails to stay contained. I would not get it on the food--stick a piece of foil or wrap over the food and spray or wet a paper towel with the stuff and rub it on the lip of the feeder. The other thing you could do is find a bowl that is real thin and that fits inside the le bistro. I am thinking of paper (not foam) disposable bowls. You could cut them and kind of squish them to fit inside the bowl area without interfering with the mechanism (if it's anything like the fountain). Or, WalMart has these ceramic cat bowls in the pet section that are fairly shallow and sort of oval shaped--they might just fit under the mechanism. I would trace the opening that the bowl would have to fit in and take the tracing with you to the store. Now, here's your REAL solution. When my cat had this (and it was a pretty yuuchy case), my vet was an old country doctor--old school--and he said to wash the cat's chinny chin chin with a deodorant soap once a day. (Maybe it was twice a day--it was 15 years ago...) Anyway, I got a bar of Safeguard, lathered the chin, rinsed it with a wet cloth and dried it, and if I recall, in less than a week the chin was gorgeous (like a ProActive commercial, but without the braces). I stopped using the soap and it never came back, but if it did, I am sure the same thing would stop it...... Good luck!!
